Ripper demo game for Atari 8bit computers

This is an advance of a Game called Ripper fro Atari 8bit computers. Really a interesting attempt to program a vertical shooter with with improve features as little horizontal scrolling, multiplexing sprite routine that works at 50fps, colors by DLI improve overall more than 16 colors simultaneously on screen, as usual very responsive controls.

The Atari 8 bit had some good side scrolling shooters. The Extirpator, really a good example. Nice colorful graphics, and parallax scrolling on an Atari 8 bit...

This looks amazing! I hope you're continuing on the project. If you could introduce different or more complex backgrounds (like any NES shooter), that would be terrific. Good luck!

Kinda reminds me of the C64 version of Lightforce, but with much nicer colour detail on the backgrounds. Speaking of which if the programmers could do a version of Rob Hubbards beautifully haunting soundtrack for the pokey that would be the icing on the cake. Great stuff.

I'm curious to know how well the atari 8bit could handle something like armalyte or any other side-scrolling shooter. haven't found many examples. just curious because i never heard much of the atari 8bit machines back in the day...
