I'm starting with the ripsurf toó. You have to twist legs and hips ritmically not just the legs, moving risurf side to side. And road's inclination helps, of course. Going uphill I find it exhausting

It doesn't fully twist in the middle so it's more sturdy and carves easier. You actually propel forward more by just carving than the traditional casterboarding motions of constant feet movement if you know what ripsticks ride like. It feels more like surfing than a caster board honestly.
