Over the years I have installed many MRI systems. Retired now, but nice to see. It looks like this one was delivered with Gradient coils in place. Nice!!! Would love to know more about this system. Field strength?

What is the noise being made by them? I know it's got magnets.

@@mikerussell2534 The loud noise heard during MRI scans comes from the gradient pulses. They are audio range pulses from coils set in the gradient tube. The gradient tube is a concentric tube slid into the bore of the main magnet. The pulses create X, Y, and Z gradient fields, which are used for “slice” selection, that is to say, the part of the body to be imaged. It’s not easy to explain in a few sentences. The other noise, sometimes referred to as a “bird chirping” noise, is likely the sound of the cold-head, a device used to minimize boil-off of cryogens (liquid helium, and in the old magnets liquid nitrogen)

三菱がVeroっていう変態機種作っていましたが、日立に譲渡されましたね。 日立からOxrayっていう後継機が出ます。
