Sadly yes. Weird how the authoritarian efforts of increasing mass surveillance progresses in the EU and US alike. The recent proposal from EU officials to prohibit basically private communication is NUTS. A few years back this wouldn't have been possible to even discuss. Civil society has to be vigilant, especially as it's not looking good so far if you look at what has been already established and what "they" want to establish in the near future

Thanks for the video! Do you know if this bill somehow affects foreign nationals lawfully present in the United States? As I understand, FISA has always allowed warrantless surveillance to be conducted on them, so it does not seem like their status quo gets worse from this

From my understanding, FISA has indeed allowed warrantless surveillance of foreign nationals lawfully present in the U.S. for some time now. However, RISAA takes things a step further by significantly expanding the types of entities that can be compelled to assist with this surveillance. So while the status quo for foreign nationals may not change drastically, the increased scope of RISAA is still concerning from a privacy standpoint.

Username checks out. :) Yes, I see that. Premiere Pro has a transition called a "morph cut". It tries to join a cut, to make it look more natural when transitioning from one clip to another. When you add this transition to the timeline, this little bar with the phrase "analyzing in the Background" is what you see. I have no idea. Every video I make a translate both the subtitles, title and description into 16 different languages. I'm not sure why youtube saw fit to serve you the French version. You're seeing that here on YT? Correct, NEVER take advice from someone with real world experience. Especially when that person has the most intimate knowledge about how the system actually works given the fact that they had the ability to see hundreds of pages of investigation data and discovery as well as time to actually study the laws and investigational methodologies that are actually implemented by LE.
