Risby Park Fisheries - Landing of the Sturgeon

A lovely Autumn day at Risby Park Fisheries, temperature 25 degrees, many empty pegs and many lost opportunities to catch, but not for this gentleman who catches his first ever sturgeon. The fish puts up a bit of a fight, and then goes for the "i'm dead approach" as if any one is going to fall for that.

Fish out the water far too long, no unhooking mat. Don't go fishing if you don't look after their welfare

And that is how you don't look after a fish when you catch it why not have a unhooking matt and simply take hook out weigh it get hold of it take a picture and stright back no let's let it bounce all over the hard ground/grass for way way to long it's no wonder the fish are so deformed and messed up at this place unreal could be a great place to go if was just looked after

Some of the things iv seen at risby is unreal. The bailiffs need to do more I've caught countless carp that have mouth damage, Some with no lips at. And thats not to mention injuried fish due to no unhooking mat

parky comes around you pay then 6 pound for 1 rod 8 pound for 2

Looks to us like he was frightened of it to be honest, can't believe how they treated that Specimen.. These guys shouldn't be fishing!

You need to ensure people look after your fish and have the right equipment. It ruins the sport for the rest of us

Sure he left the hook in its mouth just cuts the line wow no care for fish
