When I was young, songs like this one would grab my attention because of the sound. After growing up and learning english, I'm amazed by how meaningful are the lyrics of hard rock and metal from 2000 and 2010's. Sometimes it hit like a truck.

This song means alot to me because me and my family are actual imigrants who had to flee our home country. We were actual refugees in the literal sense and had to flee twice because the first time was toclose to home and was torisky to stay in the second country. This song had a special place in my heart ever sinse i first heard it.

It'ss almost like it was predictive programming or foreshadowing a future events. But we know how it goes; the same people that run Hollywood can see into the future with unworldly source, and they can't help but too slowly force-fed you or feed you messages that will slowly condition you in the future of what will happen next. Just like how 9/11 was predicted by so much Hollywood movies.

I still absolutely love the band and listen to it after all these years, I just don't find them to be correct on many things as far as politics go. It's seriously identical to how they actually sound, and neither have I ever seen a band put on such a good show. I will never forget the experience I had seeing them live. It was transcendent, to say the least.

Used to listen to this a lot 10 years ago as a teenager. Never really listened to the lyrics. Now, 10 years later I just listened to this for the first time and got full body chills as I listened to the lyrics. This song made me emphasize the experience of the refugee and how difficult it must be. Especially now that the EU/Poland and Belarus are in the brink of an armed conflict, where the refugees are being weaponized as tools of war. This is the ultimate humiliation for the refugee, stuck between two countries, neither of which want you and are threatening you with violence. Lets hope for the best, but I fear the worst...

And here I am, very close to the end of 2022 listening to this song I used to love as an edgy teenager. Now I cant help but thinking how powerful the lyrics actually are, and how they are more relevant than ever. There seems to be a global trend that the general population is losing most of their economic power, while the big corporations are getting the biggest profits ever in recorded history and are getting less and less regulated by the year. If this trend does not stop, its just a matter of time until all of us become the refugees of capitalsm, and if that happens, ill gladly sing this prayer and revolt.

it's actually quite the opposite..an unprecedented number of poeple have been getting above the poverty line and moving up the socieconomic ladder one rung at a time. There is still plenty of work left to do but mankind will eventually get there. As for the wealthy expanding their scope of influence...Internet will take care of that in due time, corruption will be wiped out thanks to Internet.

One of the worst catastrophes of capitalism is climate change. People from FFF already understand that in its consequence, one has to abolish capitalism. Those in power will eventually either have to transform capitalism to its final stage of fascism, or be overthrown by international unions of people. Maybe FFF and climate mass protests around the world are the uprising we need.

I always felt identified with this song from the point of view of my family starting to lose everything (job, house, and even the very family), and myself as a teenager having to fight harder than the rest to achieve anything I wanted. Then now I'm also feeling identified but from a political standpoint, looking at the reality of my falling country (Argentina), it's crisis, and how the governments show themselves as "holding us up", but in reality they are just burying us further down. And if the course of things keep its path, the unevitable runaway into exile. Feels like this is the very song that fits my life. But I'm no fool though, I know I'm still lucky and I'm neither the hungry or the cold. I'm just stuck held down, further down each day but still have the chance to fight against it. Sadly there are people, the people for whom the song is really about, that are held way further down than me and can only fight for survival. For those out there, my hopes for you to have the strength to hold your ground, and mainly the strength to still get yourselves a proper education while fighting starvation, cause that's the very tool that can make you really strike back out of misery. No one can fight for us, they'll just let us down. We have to be the ones to stand our own grounds.

I hope that that conflict can finally resolve as best and as prosocially as possible, especially for future generations of children to be born and raised in peace, and not have to potentially face the horrors this song is alluding to. Feel sorry for you, my man.

I don’t know your logistical situation such as how much family you have or if it’s just yourself looking to move but if you’re seeking peace you’re unlikely to find it in a war zone. You don’t deserve to have gone through this but practically speaking the only peaceful options are to leave or remain and not fight. Perhaps research online how other people from similar geographic locations made it out to somewhere safe and see if the situation is similar enough for you to copy their plan. Best of luck Xoren, sorry for the tragedy you’ve had to endure.
