Amazing tutorial ! I recently got my first electric guitar and i wanted to start learning a RA song. I was thinking " Dude. Triz should make a tutorial." Your covers a great and i was trying to learn from your videos but this is so much better. Thx for the lesson and keep it up. (And my fav song too ^^) I think you could be doing Audience of one for the next tutorial. :)

Hello Triz, You forgot something, you can play this song in E standard if you want, only move the chords a fret back, It is one of the few songs of Rise Against than do not require lowering the tuning, it applies for the two guitars, rhythm and lead. :P Triz, do not hate me for saying this, but try to clean your frets with alcohol 96% (It has to have a high percentage to avoid it being very "watery") and a fiber cloth (Wet the cloth with the alcohol and wrap your finger in it, then scrape the frets without using the nail as hard as you can), when the alcohol dries you can use conditioner or oil for the frets and ready!

Get RV of course this is right, but I tried to stick to the original as much as possible ;) and yes, i really regret that i didnt clean my guitar before this vid xD im not the guy who changes strings that much and after my exams i just wanted to do this vid, but I'll change them in the next days and clean my fretboard too ;D

Sweet! It’s really helpful to have the tabs on screen while seeing how you play and having the instrumental in the background helps too. Do you have a set list of songs you’ll be doing or are you taking requests like covers? If so could you do a tutorial on Heaven Knows?

no I changed my amp ;) I'm using BIAS FX now yeah I noticed it too while I edited the vid. I want to change my strings on sunday and take the chance to clean my guitar as well ;D

I'd love to do a lesson for wolves! but the new RA songs are much more complicated and musically advanced for a "simple lesson". maybe I'll try it if I have some more experience with teaching, but to do a lesson of this song I had to teach rhythm and lead guitar seperated and that would take just too much time for me. so at the moment I'll mainly concentrate on their older stuff when it comes to guitar lessons. I hope you can understand my point :)

danke! leider glaub ich nicht, dass ich die lessons auf Deutsch machen werde, da der überwiegende Teil meiner Community Englisch spricht und sich ein Video mit dem Aufwand dann kaum rentieren würde :/ Aber ich werde auf jeden Fall irgendwann auch lessons abseits von RA geben. Da meine Lieblingsmusikrichtung auch größtenteils Hardcore ist, wird es also da bestimmt zukünftig noch was geben :)

das X steht für Ghost Notes oder auch Dead Notes. Dafür platzierst du deine Finger so, dass sie diese eine Saite abdämpfen und diese so nicht mehr mitschwingen kann, obwohl du sie mit der rechten Hand anspielst.

I've played guitar for years and am pretty good, but Rise against songs always fucked with my head. They're not technically hard but the flow of them and the rapid changes takes quite a bit of practice. Thanks for the lesson bro.
