The Ahom Kingdom was a late medieval kingdom established in 1228 in the Brahmaputra Valley in Assam from from 1228 to 1826.
It is famous for its multi-ethnic makeup and for retaining its sovereignty for 600 years fighting at one point fighting the Mughal Empire to successfully preserve its independence.
The Ahom dynasty was also known for its cultural achievements. They patronized the arts, literature, and architecture, and were responsible for the construction of several magnificent temples and monuments.

Ahoms came from Myanmar, not from China. May be their relation with China. But they not come directly from China. They came from Myanmar. We have read in Assam history in study life. From Assam.

This Lachit Barfukan was an Ahom, came from China in 14th century. . You have not any knowledge about Assam history, pls study Assam history carefully. You will be able to know about Kamrup(Assam) and Ahom kingdom. Lachit Barphukan didnt come from China. He is the son of Momai Tamuli Barbarua, a famous general of Ahom kingdom.
