Rise & Fall Beginner's Guide - Civ VI Tips for Complete Noobs

I bought the game and all the expansions all at once (Im impulsive like that lol). Anyway, I noticed you have longer play guide videos too..so looking forward to seeing some of those. I like these tips and trick videos but I think ill enjoy some videos with a little more depth into it. Theres just so much to this game it seems like, but im sure a lot of it is just getting familiar with mechanics.

If u get gathering storm, it comes with the rise and fall mechanics too, so probably GS is better, but depends on how u might feel about weather mechanics

@@kunalmadhekar4327 im not 100% sure who u mean by the Ashoka leader, but if u mean Chandragupta, then you'll need rise & fall. If u only get r&f, you wont get the GS mechanics tho

tbh not the biggest fan of this expansion right off the bat. I love base Civ 6 and think it has the perfect amount of depth, but I find that having to constantly worry about dark ages and especially city loyalty is an unnecessary and rather tedious addition that has stripped some fun out of my first two playthroughs. Then again, maybe it's just new to me and I need to play it a number of times to get used to it. But when I lose a city is feels awful, and when I capitalize on an AI losing loyalty in their city, it feels random, unearned, and not rewarding.

totally fair. i can see why dealing with the ages can be annoying and sometimes it can feel out of your control, but at the same time also understandable why they did some of this stuff. the loyalty stuff was to stop forward settling which was happening a ton in the base game. i guess the thing i like about it is the fact that it makes you fluctuate. especially when civ can often feel like a snowbally game, this can keep you in check

Good vid. The Government plaza is soooo strong!! One thing i don't like about the game,is that the ai is super dumb. Yeah their bonuses are super strong the higher the difficulty, but fact still remains its not smart at all. Meaning if you manage to catch up to them despite their bonuses, late game becomes really dull most of the time.
