Thanks! Yeah garthimi are a 'unique' playstyle, since they are terrible at almost everything but pumping out ores and babies.

The Garthimi are truly king of the meta game in Syx. I'l be watching your career with great interest fellow Despot! It is possible to take over the whole world; but I've had to release a realm and hold onto them as a vassal just for the sake of having someone to trade excess taxed goods to. You may have to give them a handful of realms as well so they're of an appropriate size to not absolutely hate your guts over the arrangement. Bonus points if you give them some argonosh spots so you can harvest a continual amount of them for your armies by warring with them and then re-negotiating their vassalhood. Happy playing!

You could probably do the argonosh trick earlier and roll over the whole world in style..

I do want to use as few exploits as possible, so most diplomacy stuff is out of the question unless absolutely needed. Maybe my next series could be a "10 population World conquest", because due to how the mercs and diplomacy works (in v66) I think it would be pretty easy.

I always wondered what garthimi play like. I always played humans or dondorians and there each citizen feels valuable and important. Here they all feel like replaceable trash. Fun stuff! Keep up the series!

No fixed schedule, sorry. I will try to get episode 2 out on Sunday and then maybe 1 episode every week, but there will probably be some gap weeks. September is crazy busy for me and quite honestly i didn't expect that much interest for this series. I'm sorry for the wait!

Ants and bees are actually very picky about the cleanliness of their best/hive. I'm not surprised that the Garthimi prioritize lavatory access so much! Also, thank you for *not* streaming. I can only speak for myself, but i hate watching streams (live or recorded). By it's nature streaming causes too much focus on the audience and not the game. The interaction is also time sensitive. Watching this two months later, a response to how Joe Random's day at work went means nothing and is only a distraction. So again, thanks!

Curious, is multiple food stalls on one spot useful? I rarely see my pops use a food stall...so I only build 1 per district. But your pops are so much happier. Am I missing something?

what version do you play? i´m new and to the game V66.8 and there is no slider for radius on my warehouses,instead i got a slider for how much resource should be kept in the warehouse. i really like the game but it seem to have gone trough a lot of changes,makes no sense to watch a tutorial from last year foe example because so much core mechanics are very different,very good game but also very confusing with all the versions out there :(

It doesn't matter for maintenance, since pastures don't degrade. If you make them stable they take less materials to build. Since i'm building them out of mud and the ceiling takes only wood, I don't mind the cost.

i just started playing this game. and started with bug boys. i was kinda surprised to see you build your balticrawlers like that. I was building mine 7x37 to avoid the extra build/maintenance cost. but it seems yours are more efficient. 23 food per day / 17 worker = roughly 1.35 food per worker. where as i was getting; 3 food per day / 3 workers, 1 food per worker. any one have any other tips on maxing out meat as bug boys?

I think the size of the breeders is not that important, if you build it out of mud (it's only wood after sll). it's all about those juicy techs, they propel baltibreeders into the stratosphere when it comes to meat production.

What do you mean that they like round buildings? Does the game take into account building shape?

Yes, some races (garthimi and tilapi iirc) prefer roundness. Dondorians actively hate roundness. It's a small happyness bonus, but on Hard+++ i take every bonus i can get.

what do you think about doing the world conquest with limited mercenaries? just so we can get a harder challenge. love the content btw

I was thinking about adding that as an additional challange, but I have to admit the game is much harder on the highest difficulty than in previous versions, i don't know if it is possible to get a large enough population for the army and required production chains. I will need to figure it out along the way, but i will try to not use mercenaries too much. (next episode is already recorded, so you'll have to forgive me)

It's DALL-E with some other ai to extend it to a 16:9 format. I know its fugly, but your eyes would literally bleed if I would draw my own thumbnails.
