Making a Lord of the Rings inspired glade of Rivendell in Tiny Glade (playtest version). The layout and style was mostly influenced by the Weta Workshop official Rivendell Environment.

I thought I knew what I was doing in Tiny Glade, then I watched the first bridge get built and then proceeded to sit there open-mouthed for the rest of the vid. Turns out, I know nothing lol AWESOME BUILD!

You layer the smallest size rectangular building block, overlapping and offsetting, like a staircase. You usually get support pillars, but if you get the positions *just right* (height off the ground and offset) the supports disappear.

@@andrew-er2ty try putting 2 of them into one another, exactly overlapping, and you'll see their defensive walls disappear, then play around with it and see which positions are still valid for this to happen (i think it's because both of them want to make stairs or smth at the same time?)

You take off the ui and go into camra mode and undo your whole build. then you bind a key to redo and hold it down while recording it with a recording software

It's a building with wooden timbering enabled from the paint tool. If you flatten the roof on that type of building you get fencing around the top. I hid most of that under the roof of the bigger building, so if look like a balcony of sorts

This is so cool! What I love about watching you build from the stonework up is that you get a better sense of Rivendell's origins as a military outpost. And then like a medieval castle, overtime it became more livable, and eventually, when it no longer served a defensive purpose, the architecture become more elaborate in its embellishments and decorations, and became the renowned "Last Homely House". It makes me wonder what those in-between Rivendells might have looked like

Looking at this just makes me wonder: Do elves have a window tax? For those that don't know, the window tax was something from the tail end of the 1600s that increased the property tax based on how many windows a home had under the excuse that maintenance of glass is expensive when in actuality it was to cover the loss of revenue from no longer clipping coins.

Holy f. This is beyond incredible. Every single detail is on point and my lord, the detail and layering. I can't undone how long this took IRL, but it was worth it, coz this is gorgeous and incredible. I would also LOVE a little tutorial on some of the techniques you used. Coz some of them, i can see how you did that, but some of them were just too quick and just... whoa good me too follow, lol

If you have Opera or Chrome, you can play the video slower. Of course it's not possible to always guess which tool he used to do it, since there's not UI but I suppose an experienced user would know.

How did you film this? Does the game have a timelapse replay mode or something?

Not an official mode, but it has infinite undo/redo. And the camera tracking is a dev tool from the play test. Hopefully coming at some point to the full release
