Thats because you believe you know what are the intentions or motivations of the US for being in Afghanistan. Your personal bias prevents you from questioning how true what your current understanding is which you automatically presume to be the truth. These personal biases affecting ones thinking process isnt a personal weakness but a phenomena that affects everyone.
