To add onto the feels, imagine that little girl having to summon up all her courage to go home by herself and tell her parents (or single mother? don't think I saw a father) that their son died saving their daughter's life. And the burden she would carry thinking that she indirectly killed her own brother, all the stronger when they inevitably held some kind of funeral for Jack and she hears adults around her saying things like "if only they didn't head out that day" or "he shouldn't have tried to be a hero". +jkrfan7 I KNOW right???!!! I like stories with her in it. One weird one had Jack and Tooth turn out to have been lovers when he was human. Manny was depicted as a bad guy as were most of the other Guardians. When Jack died Tooth had been pregnant and to protect the baby God transformed her into Baby Tooth. In order to survive when the truth is exposed they become human and form a family with the help of Pitch, Jamie and Nightlight. My favorite stories with Baby Tooth though are one where Jack joins Jamie's family after Jamie's mother becomes able to see him when he saves her life. A bad fight with Jamie causes Jack to leave but Baby Tooth makes sure he isn't alone and eventually gets him to go back and make up with Jamie who was left depressed by the awful things he'd said to Jack in the fight. Another one basically had her play Matchmaker: Jack had developed feelings for the older Jamie and Baby Tooth was the only one he told. She accompanied him back to Burgess on a visit and got tired of the obvious feelings between Jack and Jamie and literally knocked him on top of Jamie (which resulted in her getting thrown back into his hood) and pushed Jack to kiss Jamie. He finally did and Baby Tooth was left smug since she was right and it worked.

Man, I wish they would show the background of the other characters, especially Pitch. Out of the entire cast, Pitch is the most misunderstood. Why? Well, if you've read "The Guardians" series by William Joyce (in which this movie is based off of), then you would know that it isn't Pitch's fault that he is who he acts to be; he's possessed by the Fearlings!

One of the many reasons I prefer Dreamworks over Disney. Their movies are all so different, but with Disney most feel quite similar (especially princess films). I'm always going to be a Jack girl at my heart because of this. When I went to see it, I was eagerily awaiting the moment Jack got his memories back, because I knew it was going to be awesome. I wondered why he came out of a pond, now I know why. Then a saw Frozen, and was a bit confused at why people like Frozen, when rotg is a WHOLE LOT better. Did they ever really explain why Elsa has ice powers? Or did she just have them just so the story fitted. With Jack, you know how he got his powers since he drowned in a freakin icy pond, and got revived as a spirit by Mim. And why do people always compare rotg to Frozen? Heres a thing for you. Didn't rotg come out in 2012, with Frozen coming in a year later? If anything, you should all be comparing Frozen to rotg. And finally, while I let off some steam, what is with Jelsa? How did I know this was coming every since I saw Frozen? Then the ripple of fan shipping starts small, then a wave, then into a tsunami. What do you actually see in the pairing? Jelsa doesn't have much merit, since the only thing they have in common is ice powers, no shit! I would suggest a much better pairing, ever heard of Janna? You probably haven't since its been drowned by all the Jelsa. Jack and Anna feel like a much better couple to me, since Anna is the one who was alone all those years (Dont tell me the 'elsa was stuck in her room so she was alone' crap because she saw her parents, they tried to help her with her powers), remind you of a certain white haired winter spirit? He was lonely, and she was lonely, and they both have a playful personality. Have a read of a Janna fanfic, I dare you. I guarantee you'll like it. All great disney films with strong plotlines that don't have a shoehorned feeling to them. Lilo and stitch is from the same pair that created how to train your dragon big hero 6 had a surprising plot twist and was a risk being a animated superhero film based on a extremely obscure marvel property wreck it ralph has its annoying moments but is not bad treasure planet has a extremely underrated song in it and stunning backgrounds and the hunchback of notre dame is extremely dark for disney. Listen to the opening song and hellfire from that film and watch the sequences as well. I agree with you that this film is much better than frozen. Frozen is not bad but is not one of disneys best and i feel the same way about moana and brave. This film has both depth and terrific performances and a well worthy plot. Dreamworks is letting this film's unique setup go to waste.

Imagine what could have happened if he remembered who he was, at least for a little while, and she could see him? They could play in the woods, her with her now wintery-magical brother. Perhaps others didn't believe her, perhaps his immortality meant he outlasted his family and couldn't stand it, causing him to shut off those memories. Sad, but perhaps less so than the version where he saved her, awoke having forgot abt her, and didn't remember her until hundreds of years had passed, and she was long gone, thinking he'd passed for good saving her. Tho admittedly, here, his biggest takeaway was that in saving her, he'd proved he was meant to be a guardian, so perhaps Jack Frost sees her more as a child worth saving through a bit of fun. That or he doesn't take the time to rlly process it until later

Guys guys, Jack and Elsa could never happen. First of all, Jack is physically 17 but over 300 years old, and Elsa was in her early 20s. Also, this movie takes place in modern times, so even if Elsa and Jack existed in the same universe she would already be dead by now since Frozen takes place around the 1800s or somewhere around there. Finally she wouldn't be able to even see him, since only children have the ability to see Jack and the other guardians of they believe, but adults are too far to start believing. That would make a relationship a bit difficult. It could just never happen.

I always thought of his backstory as super sad and quite upsetting. Like he dies right in front of his younger sister and he never even had a chance to swim up to the surface. I remember when I first saw this movie, I thought jack was attractive. However, it's easy to see that there's more to him than his attractive qualities. I don't know, the only reason why I decided to see this movie was because it had a charming aura about it. Jack's cute but so are a lot of fictional guys. Also I don't ship Jackelsa so that's another thing that didn't really attract me to watch it.
