"Having been a dedicated Monster Hunter for almost 15 years and having experienced every installment except for the Frontier series, I can confidently say that both Monster Hunter World and Monster Hunter Rise are phenomenal games. They each bring something unique to the table, and as much as I love Rise's innovations and gameplay mechanics, I have to admit that World still holds a special place in my heart. World's graphics are absolutely breathtaking, and the attention to detail in the world-building is outstanding. The environments feel alive, and the monsters are incredibly realistic and immersive. It's a visual and audio masterpiece that truly transports you to another world. Don't get me wrong, Rise is a masterpiece in its own right. The introduction of Wirebug mechanics and verticality adds a whole new layer of excitement to the hunt, and the Palamutes are fantastic companions. Capcom did an incredible job with the game, and I've thoroughly enjoyed my time with it. However, there's something about World's overall experience that still hits different for me. Maybe it's the emotional attachment I've formed with the game after spending so many hours in it, or perhaps it's the sense of exploration and wonder I felt when discovering new monsters and ecosystems. World created a bond with me that's hard to replicate. Despite Rise being a fantastic addition to the series, I find myself returning to World time and time again. It's a testament to the lasting impact and the level of enjoyment it brings. Both games hold a special place in my heart, but if I had to choose, Monster Hunter World still reigns supreme as my favorite hunting experience to date. Happy hunting, fellow hunters!"

Excellent analysis mate. I found World just too damn grindy. I get that that is what Monster Hunter is all about but I just ran out of patience having to kill the Nicaragua over and over (and find it in the first place!) Just for that % chance drop. Would you say Rise is far better for that? Is it a bit more dynamic and less % loot?

some of those drops depend on what part you damage, which i didn't know, the rare part grind is real, but I always have it on a back burner and if stuff falls in, it falls in, @@prawnyb

I've been playing for months now, started this year as well, it's insanely good and addictive, I've been playing for over 430 hours now, only have Fatalis left to beat, I'm hunting the platinum for both base and iceborne as well, I now love this franchise.

Oh yeah, the environment felt alive and they added plenty of environmental triggers to help with hunts. The selling point to me tho was the soundtrack. Specifically the elder dragon soundtracks. I can't get over how good the music is for Fatalis, Raging Brachydios, Safijiva, Xenojiva, etc.

MHW/I & MHR/S are both Godtier games. MHW Iceborne is my favorite game ever and SunBreak is _insanely_ addictive and so easy to pick up and play. World had attention to details that Rise purposely left out for the sake of the "pick up & play" motive which works for it, but I'd appreciate those small things returning. Super highly recommended both games, MHW for immersion, MHR for action

Rise purposely made a vertical map and a superior combat system with it's own unique art style to set itself apart and it does so amazingly. World has immersion and visuals but rise is more fun moment to moment.

That would be the only real boost or the biggest boost you could get on the PS4 version is if you installed it on the SSD and played it from the SSD. I mean Jesus Christ that was a huge boost in a PS4 if you put an SSD in your PS4 and eliminated that stupid hard drive all your games, loaded better quicker fast travel was quicker load screens were quicker everything was quicker because it was instant access. No seek time why you would run anything on your PS five except off of SSD is beyond me, especially if your showcasing it or testing it performance against something else both should be on the SSD.

Right and admittedly, I don’t have access to rise but rise actually is a PS five title versus world being a PS4 title meaning world is locked at 30 frame rates on any hardware. I mean any PlayStation hardware button on a PS five you’re still going to be locked at 30 frame rate because that’s how PS4 games operate.

You’re gonna have might’ve seen your video before and heard you say it before it seems familiar but there is in fact no PS five boost the only way there would be a PS five boosters if there were actually a PS five version that’s not to say having it on an SSD won’t just make monster Hunter world better on a PS five assuming it will install and run there it will do so faster with Less lag anytime you’re opening shit up because of the SSD but that would be the same on a PS4 with an SSD. It’s got nothing to do with the PS five itself simply got to do with the fact that it’s got an SSD it’s got a better graphics card I mean it’s it’s simply an upgrade to the hardware that you’re running it on every PS4 game has that Every PC game has that when you upgrade your hardware a PS five boost means that it actually has coding that optimizes it for the custom controller that controls that SSD would have a PS five label rise on the other hand does have an actual PS five version and would’ve probably run better anyway because rise is a port from the switch and to be honest, the switch can’t handle the higher graphics so putting it ona better console is probably gonna make it run a little better anyway, but it is actually ported to the PS five so most likely does take advantage of some of the custom hardware in the PS five either way it said to run better in any case just because they had to dump it down to run it on the switch graphically it’s not nearly as intense or pier as other games because it had to be done down on the switch

Whether you pick Rise or World, the key to getting into Monster Hunter is just learning one system at a time. Both games are forgiving in Low Rank and allow time to learn. The key to Monster Hunter is not to give up because there will be a moment where it all falls into place and you will fall in love with the game. If you don't want to play alone, find people to play with even people you don't know them. The Monster Hunter community is known for there passion to teach new players the ropes. It is not hard to find people in full end game builds and hundreds of hours of game play who will help you learn the game systems.

World was my first MH and I put about 210 hours into it so far, absolutely love it. Waited til I got a PS5 to finally start work on the Guiding Lands. Did take me 4 years to give it another shot after hating my beta experience with it though. Tried Rise on Switch and PC, not a fan of it. The Wirebug system/Wyvern Riding feels far too gimmicky for me, not a fan of the maps either. Currently playing MHGU on Switch though and am really enjoying it. Am about 60 hours into it and the Hunter Styles/Arts are a much more rewarding feeling system than what Rise offered. Can't just spam your special attacks. I'm also very fond of the older artstyle. Graphics might not be as good as Rise on a technical level, but I enjoy looking at GU a lot more.

MHGU is still a staple for me...I love that upscaled switch version, suffered on the DS with it for years....the wire bug ..we gotta talk...🤣 bro I hated it....but muscle memory and chaining a move into just 'getting up' feels too bad ass to ignore + all monster attacks take it into account at mid game, making their moves MIND BLOWING! what weapons do you gravitate to? because it was the charge blade integration that sold me. That reminds me, the desert Seltas set in GU could be the greatest looking set in video game history 🤣 you gotta go back to rise

You do know that monster in the world, including Oborne is free to be plus subscribers, right and given that you have to have PS plus to play at least in the multiplayer mode you must have PS plus I mean if you’re buying the game and the DLC instead of simply buying a month of PS plus seems kind of foolishand quite frankly, if you have a PlayStation and you don’t have PS plus essentials at a minimum that’s kind of foolish to get three games every month we just got evil west for for God sake and that’s a pretty decent game

I don’t think MHW has a legit ps5 boost/update. It’s only backwards compatible and runs on the ps4 pro update. Which is a real shame because it runs 1800P/60fps when the ps5 is easily capable of 4K 60fps. The PC got a 4K update. Sucks that the next gen’s never got one.

Rise was not a downgrade, it was an upgrade to traditional portable console MonHun. MHW specially IB is what MonHun always wanted to be. Wilds... Well have to wait and see, looks great as usual but idk didn't look better than world.

Wrong there’s no PS five boost other than better hardware a PS five boost would mean there’s actually a PS five version something optimized to use the special qualities of the custom hardware that’s in a PS five there’s literally only a PS4 version which, of course will run better on a PS five generally speaking because it does have an SSD it does have better graphic hardware. It does have faster, memory and faster processing, but it’s still a PS4 version only rise literally has an optimized PS five version L it even can do streaming on the PS five if you wanna play it from plus premium streaming content, rather than downloading and installing the game or you can play the PS4 version and my PS4 game runs better on a PS five except those that have some kind of Programmatic problem that makes them not run on the hardware at all and insist to install on a PS4.
