One interesting thing to note is one of the soldiers in the Canadian campaign is actually American, which is an acknowledgment of thousands of Americans who joined the Canadian military prior to the US entering the war, many of which chose to stay in the Canadian forces even after the US did join.

Call of Duty 2 had a pretty good campaign, but Call of Duty 3 was when the story and characters really started kicking into gear. I'd say 3 is when they started really developing personalities and became more memorable

Cod 2 had Cpt price and Macgregor who I really remember; but yeah the Americans and Russian campaign was lacking. The journal entries were awesome though.

the story telling ang narrative of all the characters of this game is epic. Never forget this game 2006 with my Xbox 360.

The "Nazi soldiers marching" for the intro for Call of Duty 3 is awesome and the greatest intro any Call of Duty games at that time were made. This was when Call of Duty stayed true to its origin of the Post-WWII era--not with zombies and all modern-tech weapons it has now.

Never realized how much flavor each character got. The American is a born leader, the pole's a caring father, the Canadian's a thrillseeker, and the Scotsman... Well, considering his distrust for the French, an Englishman. Always felt really bad for Leslie, Dixon and Callard though. On a side note, is it me or McCullin looks like Bruce Willis and Callard, Robert Downey Jr?

27:03 I always found it odd that the officer/nco had a kar98k and the other guy had an mp40. Always thought it should have been the other way round, but I liked how they didn't censor the swastikas in the game, gave it a more authentic look. Even the waffen ss uniforms. Nowadays it's almost like a crime to do what they did 10 years ago in games

This game features a lot worth mentioning historically including that this particular campaign was one of the bloodiest and all of World War II in the West actually rivaling some of the Eastern battles. 115,000 men were killed total in the space of 9 days.

I loved Cpl Keith he was my fave. They're all great chars really. Played this game so much back in the day, try a mission every now and again on hardest diff, lack of checkpoints some missions is annoying.

I remember I had this janky setup to play my PlayStation in my dads truck with a portable DVD player screen only like 7 inches. But I was immersed in the game so heavy. Good times

This game was great. I got a 360 a year after release and it came with Saints Row, Gears of War, RS: Vegas and CoD3. Obviously glorious years lay ahead with more amazing games which I remember fondly being in Secondary school at the time, but this was the start of it all! 😊

This brings me back, I loved this game so much growing up. I got a Fortune favors the Bold tattoo because when Lt. Robiechauld said it, it resonated with me so much.
