@@520angling5 texas, as does most of the USA has a history of white supremacist/american conservative christian politics and with that cimes american conservative christian laws. women couldnt even have their own bank accounts until the 1960’s, and our younger generations wonder why marriages used to last so long. as of recent, they passed one of the most invasive anti-abortion bills. as stated in the song, women are mothers, sisters, children. women are also human beings deserving of respect and civil liberties like the men that determine what women legaly can and cant do. one could argue that this song is a statement against the capitalist economic heirarchy at large and that there is no shame sex work while identifying the reasons one may engage in it or choose to not as well. i believe its telling that a government staffed by wealthy men who choose to restrict womens autonomy also view women so poorly when they aquire wealth thru the sex industry many other men are demanding and willing to pay for. regardless of what women choose to do with their bodies, no matter the circumstances and even if you personally disagree with it, they are humans who deserve love, understanding and fellowship. if this isnt what kublai khan were trying to say, then ill let them correct me. until then.
@520angling52 жыл бұрын
@@rarecandy3445 well considering Matt Honeycutt himself is a helluva lot more conservative then most hardcore frontman, I don’t think he’s exactly stating this only in the case of how “sexist” Texas is (even though it’s really not and that seems like a mislead fat left viewpoint). Most likely I think this song is about woman who have had nowhere else to go besides sex work, or being trafficked against their will. If anything, a more conservative government is against sex work/prostitution as there are more left leaning governments leaning to legalization of prostitution.

@@520angling5 idk I’m still trying to wrap my head around Hardcore subgenres tbh. I just called them Metalcore because they’re heavier than traditional Hardcore Punk bands and they use metal riffs in their songs. Metalcore is weird because bands can pull ideas from any Metal subgenre and still be Metalcore as long as they still use some elements of Hardcore, so you end up with a wide range of different sounds and aesthetics. The best attempt I’ve seen to make sense of Metalcore is to use Metallic Hardcore, Melodic Metalcore, Mathcore, etc. as analogues to Old School Death Metal, Melodic Death Metal, Technical Death Metal, etc.

This is one of the few bands that I have listened to every album without skipping a song. There are only a handful of bands that have never put out a bad song. And Kublai Khan is at the top of that very small list. I am a diehard slipknot fan and they are my favorite metal band but not every album is a album I can listen to without having to skip a song. So I give much much respect to Kublai Khan Keep it up guys.

Mannnn I learned a long time ago I REALLY prefer 2 vocalists when it comes to metal and shit. And this fucking helps solidify my opinion.

The intro to this song may be one of the hardest things I’ve ever heard in my life Jesus Christ. KKTX don’t miss
