What separates this band from every other band is that they continuously get better with every album. No matter what singer they have at the moment, they continue to produce some of the most creative music in existence. No matter what mood you're in or what you're going through, there are entire albums you can relate to, whether you want to hear an interesting story, emotionally deep lyrics, or just laugh at whatever hilariously creative lyrics John Mess spits out. Plus this band has such a good relationship with other bands in their genre like: A Lot Like Birds, Stolas, Hail the Sun etc. which they do side projects with like Sianvar which is a combo of all these bands. Plus imo, Will Swan is one of the most talented musicians ever. When you have all of that plus a loyal fan base how can they not be one of the greatest.

Exposed is the best track on Mothership for soft vocals. i think it has more to do with production value though, you can still hear parts in this song where he is gritty but its less noticeable because the the vocals sounds sort of faded. The softer parts sound smoother than Mothership due to this I believe, like they had better recording equipment.

To the only robot left with human hair, he is forced to turn into a pure robot by removing his heart and abandoning the little humanity left in him. The robot with human hair series is about restrained freedom, humanity and individual personality, well I think most of them. Pt. 4 is about insanity caused by society. This song however, seems to be an acceptance of fate where one has to do something. He kinda became a hero in the video. I love how he brought everyone to a brighter world.

I kinda agree. Coheed introduced my to high pitched vocals,\ and Circa Survive kinda opened me up to it, but there's definitely a certain kind of high vocals that I'll actually like. And it needs to be in a certain kinda of music. For example, I like Tilian(the new vocalist) in tides of man and in DGD, but I really hate his solo stuff, mainly because of the vocals. Hopefully that made sense.

One among the fence!!! It's so hard for me to find Coheed fans anywhere, everyone makes fun of me for listening because of claudio's voice. But yeah, he totally got me used to these high pitched vocals.

I know right! It doesn't make any sense. I can understand if they don't like Claudio's voice, because there are a lot of people that just don't dig high vocals, but coheed as musicians, are ridiculously good!

Man, after watching Son Of Robot, it's amazing how much John Howe has improved over the years. Not saying this video isn't still incredible but... wow the differences.

The first few DGD songs I heard I honestly thought they were Circa Survive . . . then I hear a song like this, and my jaw requires being picked up off the floor. DGD is absolutely something unique and special. This song kicks it so much!

This was, pretty much, the kind of video that you expect to watch. Outstanding!

This video gives me the feels. I guess it's about how we rely on technology so much that we're loosing our humanity. I think Will Swan said it in an interview recently

I've been listening to these guys for a couple years now.. most of there older stuff is a lot harder to get used to ide say. ide always find 2 or 3 songs off each album I would thoroughly enjoy. This album however ide I fully enjoy about 6 or 7 tracks.
