Don't care what anyone says, this album really rules. It hits just the right way.

The problem with this song is that it doesn't play the "Im broken and its hurting you" hook more than once. That is seriously the catchiest thing I've ever heard. This album is amazing.

my friend said that same thing but i don't really hear it that way! weird haha, the "so afraid ill be my father, and fade away.... we almost sound the same" part is catchy to me and the end it goes out with a bang with it and im like omg play it again!! hahaha. fave song on the album.

I hate to break it to you, but you won't see any band on rise records going mainstream anytime soon. Of mice and men and SWS are reaching their peak after selling out, barely touching the surface of "mainstream". What plays on the radio is what gets huge, and these bands will never get played on the radio. Hell, Asking Alexandria has been trying so hard selling out and trying to be "rock stars" and they only have one shitty song on the radio that never gets played.

Julie Menzies mainstream as in mtv mainstream. all of rise is by no way mainstream. just in alternative music.
@cjcadena300110 жыл бұрын
Julie Menzies Yea Rise Records is not mainstream at all. Mainstream is like radio stuff. Paramore, Panic At The Disco, Fall Out Boy. Those are bands that made it mainstream that were/are alternative. This band can definitely do some big stuff though. Walden is a good singer

Not sure if you've found out by the comments, there are a few other albums with multiple other vocalists. Totally different styles, but totally awesome, I am so glad the band kept the name Emarosa, because it's like a legacy, different generations of a family of music.
@tadablekananle65608 жыл бұрын
Saw these guys at Warped Tour. Easily the best band there, also one of the nicest, really down to earth guys, and their music is amazing too, one of the best bands out there today. If you get the chance to see them, go for it. It's definitely worth it, they put on an amazing show.
@logankinkaid306310 жыл бұрын
Just because they got a new singer and are playing some more down tempo songs doesn't mean they are shitting in our mouths or anything. It's no drastic change or anything, you can still tell it's Emarosa. Idk why most people are pissing their pants over this album, I think it's great!

It pays to be insane, Indiana rain, I let go And I made the same mistakes sleeping in the flame I lost hope just to be alone [Chorus] Afraid I'll be my father and fade away We almost sound the same Afraid I'll be forgotten but I can't change [Verse 2] I need to hear you say please don't look away I still want to let you let me in even when it ends If you need to love me Love me patiently just until you see I'm giving up And just to make sure I've wasted all doubt Just to make sure please wake me up now And what won't let me down is my fear [Chorus] So afraid I'll be my father and fade away We almost sound the same Afraid I'll be forgotten but I can't change [Bridge] I'm broken and it's hurting you And all you say is love me too Don’t take it if you know it’s not enough Maybe I’ll be more tomorrow Maybe I’ll be more tomorrow Maybe I’ll be more tomorrow [Chorus] So afraid I'll be my father and fade away We almost sound the same Afraid I'll be forgotten but I can't change

UltimateKakashi5 Yeah ... Em with Jonny reminds me of Saosin with Anthony, Em with Brad reminds me of Saosin with Cove. Jonny could strangle brad to death with his vocal cords no problem, same with Anthony strangling Cove with his vocal cords, would be very, very, very easy. But Brad is insanely awesome too, that's the thing with Jonny, he was on a whole nother level, same thing with Anthony Green. Whole other level.

Louis Louis Given the lyrics of the song, I'd imagine it's a street name and something happened there in 1996, presumably something with a father.

I love Bradley as a singer, but this isn't Emarosa. I like the music, but this is not my favorite band. I know using the Emarosa name helps promote the music, but they really should have changed the band name.
@steelers4life101110 жыл бұрын
Dude, I'm sorry, but I call bullshit.. Music is all about progression.. You can't have every fuckin album sound the same exact way, then it wouldn't be music.. If you want that shit, listen to the radio or some gay ass rap shit that alllll sounds the same.. This album is all about progression and growth.. What life is all about man, so don't say this isn't Emarosa... You don't know them bro, they've moved on, and following their hearts..... And that my friend, is true music...
@jaysonmuzuruk660410 жыл бұрын
I absolutely agree. It's not the old Emarosa I fell inlove with. Still a good band.
@matthewshredder10 жыл бұрын
It sort of sounds like the last album with a different singer in different ways. It was the same Emarosa when chris left and johnny came in, its the same band now that johnny's gone and bradley's in. Its still the same band, they were right for keeping emarosa.
@aaronaustin60710 жыл бұрын
It's still the same band. 3 of the 4 members were in the band when they made Relativity, there's no reason they should change the name. The only time I've ever seen a band do that was when AA! changed to Nativ, but they had real legitimate reasons to do that.
@jacoblevy278710 жыл бұрын
I agree, same thing happened with three days grace. Adam left, and he even created the band yet they still keep the name.
