"Sunnyland is the state of innocence that comes with being a child. You try to make everyone happy just because it’s better than being sad. It’s the love of spring and summer that I child has because they can go outside. And the innocence of the smallest accomplishments giving them great pride." I'm sad but it makes so much sense now.... 😔💔

Jamming to mayday parade in 2019 is so nostalgic, hearing this song just remind me of those high school days when I’d battle through many tough times and all I had was my headsets and jamming to mayday parade for hours album after album 😢...but look at me now manage to get through those tough times and now I’m smiling with appreciation at this band who helped me through it! Can you guys relate?

I can relate sm. I used to go to high school and at the time I didn't realize, but I was extremely depressed and anxiety ridden and taking my iPod with me to school every day to listen to music while I walked through those hallways was probably the best coping mechanism I ever had. I'm forever grateful to mayday parade giving me hope and helping me through♡

@@osamasaichi4355 Definitely true. But comparing MP to BMTH seems strange since MP has always had their emotion. BMTH never really did unless it was off of the last 2 albums. Wonderful Life will probably be the only song that I'll keep replaying forever, unlike Sunnyland.

This album will always be special to me; the build up to it got me through my exams, and I celebrated the end of school to this album. (It was released on the same day). Each album MDP has released is special to me, and has helped me through some rough times. The band is amazing. Derek Waved to me at my first concert (it meant a lot to a 16 year old), gave me motivation to become vegetarian, helped me stop self harming, without doing anything, Brooks’ smile never fails to make me feel warm inside, Jake is Amazingly funny (Cray-on) [not to mention he’s liked a post of mine], Alex is adorable, and (along with brooks) inspired me to learn guitar. Cabby has played some of the music that has hit me the hardest in the feels. (Love it). The tour vlogs, the banta, the interviews, the stories & pictures on social media, and finally the music and lyrics that have saved my life. Just. Thank You. -Fire in The Sky A.K.A DarkerVisions & MaydayParadeAddicit

You were so cynical the last time that I saw you And I thought that's what a real grown-up looks like You were happy once But that was such a long time ago now Gravity took something from your light And I thought back to the years that we played baseball How I tried, but I struck out so many times But then once I hit the ball and sailed over the fence I felt my gut all fill up with pride So take me back to Sunnyland So I can find the light again So take me back to Sunnyland So I can find the light again And I dreamt about an old abandoned hospital And I met up with my friends to go inside Well, I left something important back in Sunnyland And it's something that I know I'll never find So take me back to Sunnyland So I can find the light again So take me back to Sunnyland So I can find the light again Can you tell me how long now 'til Winter is done? Wake me up when it's over and Spring has begun Give me all your bad days, it'll be over soon Just as long as I have you So take me back to Sunnyland So I can find the light again So take me back to Sunnyland So I can find the light again Take me back to Sunnyland Take me back to Sunnyland

Derek is fantastic live what are you talking about lol. Maybe not if you catch him in a cramped set of dates or near the end of a long tour (or while sick) but that goes for absolutely any vocalist. I have only seen them twice live (2014, 2016) and they sounded almost identical to the studio versions but every live video I have seen is really good too. Especially Sunnyland Sessions with the focus on quality
