Anthony Green -"Writing this either helped saved me or almost killed me I can’t figure out which yet. The vocals were written two years ago to the day and was the last song I wrote before going into treatment for heroin dependency. I can’t sing it without feeling the shame of every lie I ever told so that should be fun. Maybe you’ll feel it too. Ha! Whatever music is playing in your life I hope its freeing and enriching you in some way." reading this before listening to this made the song hit so much harder

I met a person a couple of months ago I can only describe as my soul mate. Right before we met, I was convinced my life was over. I’d ruined everything and had nothing left to give I thought. Meeting her turned my life around completely. We’ve been ripping into each other’s souls every day. We’ve both been talking about imposter syndrome the whole time as a major factor holding us both back. And the universe has been speaking to us both every day telling us what we need to hear most. Circa has been my favorite band for the last decade, and to see this song, right now, the title and the lyrics and the video, it just somehow cements for me that we are on the right path and being guided by forces we don’t understand. I love you all for the first time in my life. Circa and Anthony have been instrumental in me being alive and experiencing this love today. Absolutely mind blowing.

He is ergently trying to get his lover to belive him that he won't go back to being the person he once was. A change in the rift in his life battling addiction. Wanting to change, he changed to be a better person for himself and family and lover. Screaming from the soul that addiction is fucking killing him. This is my interpretation. Collided with the world we live in currently. America is burning from the inside out. Maybe we were never meant to be free from the demons but maybe he found a way out and he is telling us we can be free from the things that pain us. Sounds like he concoured his demons. This is a new chapter of his own life. Inspiring
