I am so honored to have been part of this incredible experience! It was an intense shoot that was SO worth it! The crew behind this video is exceptional, as is the song. 😍😍😍 As for Anthony, well, I'm glad we got some good takes that didn't include me laughing at all the fart sounds he was making during the "birth" scene.

are you saying Violent Waves is tweeny music then? Because to me that's the slowest, hardest album to get into. I don't see how any of it is tweeny.
@jam31527 жыл бұрын
That makes zero sense. Tweeny kids prob don't undestand the majority of the imagery from the lyrics. Decensus was largely around anthony's heroin addiction, blue sky noise about miscarriages, violent waves relationship issues and who knows what this next album will be about.
@jam31527 жыл бұрын
Adrian Loera that's easily due to Anthony being more raspy as get gets older and vocals strain naturally. If anything it was way higher in juturna and olg where people could easily make those comments without looking into the band. Them going lower with each album doesn't make sense when the song writing is more progressive than ever while maintaining mainstream sensibilities and more hypnotic music than in the past. If these songs were produced like juturna (raw) then opinions on the neg side would change and by produced I mean mixed and recorded
@johnnykooks40967 жыл бұрын
John Riddler Well if I had to guess, I'd say this song is about miscarriage too so maybe that will be the theme for the new album Edit: I just realized Anthony is carrying a baby at the end so maybe is not about miscarriage but death during childbirth

What is it about Circa fans and ranking the albums? Like, it's not a bad thing, but it's pretty much the only band I see people do it with. The only thing I can come up with is that they're all so close in quality, the fans struggles to decide. I don't rank them personally. What I'll tend to do is go "I'm having a 'Juturna' day", or "'Descensus' is the way I'm feeling".

I'm surprised to see the harsh criticism of some people and how everyone tries to immediately compare this to either their "roots" or Blue Sky Noise. To me, it sounds like Circa Survive and not much else. It sounds like new ground; maybe less catchy and probably a bit more complex. So complex that I think I don't fully grasp it yet. Which is something I love about Circa and something that happened to me with basically every album or song I heard of them for the first time. Well anyway, I'm excited about the album.

In my opinion (of course it’s an opinion) their most complex album is juturna creatively speaking when it came out there was nothing like it, they used 2 lead jingle parts on guitar to make the rhythm and it was complex as shit. Not that I don’t like this I do, but it still stands that juturna is by far my favorite release by circa but it’s also in my top 3 cds all time for me, with protest the hero -Kezia #1 juturna is 2 tho and 3 idk debatable for me

I have a strong feeling The Amulet will be a concept album. I could be wrong, but the album artwork is the giant conch from the frozen world, and I believe the newborn child is our world's incarnation of the Amulet. It would be absolutely beautiful to follow the story from both worlds.
@M3-shell7 жыл бұрын
Kenny Long at first I was skeptical but I think you are onto something. If you look at all of the releases they have very ritualistic themes (to me at least). In Lustration a child (?) is born in a circle of fire from the underworld. Apparently the owl from Rites of Investiture reference the cremation of care and some of the lyrics kind of relate to that as well I guess, I'd have to look into them more. The video for Premonition of the Hex is basically about a cult, and I suppose a hex is occult related as well. And an amulet is thought to protect against evil. Basically if they were going for a concept album I would guess they'd be using occult imagery and themes to convey an overall message. But who knows? I think I saw somewhere else that people were talking about this album being a concept album just based on the song titles are. Very excited for the album to come out!

I don't know how I feel about this song, I love how circa's music grows as the band members lives progress, and it's not that this song is bad or anything I just miss the trippie guitar rifts and crazy hooks from the old day. There was nothing better than Anthony speaking to you behind such stellar guitar rifts, the circa of the past would send you on a dollar coaster of emotions. Once again not saying they are bad now just grown up, I feel like BSN was when they started changing there sound up, they tried to bring back the juturna and OLG feel in violent waves and decensus but it wasn't there as always this is all in my humble opinion
