Lerato mentioned something about man’s romantic needs and I think that topic deserves a young moment to be unpacked hle. Somehow when speaking about romance the convo just seems to gravitate towards woman- what they want ...how to please her ; what are her love languages etc... there’s even sayings such as “happy wife happy life” which seem to imply that her happiness matters more and/or more efforts should go towards her happiness. This approach seems very one-sided and not reciprocal. Which of still makes me wonder what romance is to men. Surely it can’t always be about them always on the giving end. It would be interesting to unpack what men’s romantic needs are. In a society that’s reforming to do away with patriarchy and all these other unfair systems and moving towards equality (however long that will take us but be it as it may) we need to keep the same energy when it comes to all other areas INCLUDING romance, to maintain the balance.

I get you, but most men really just need support and respect, to name a few basics(we already do the regular cooking, warm home etc, which most men really appreciate ) but I belive it's also easier for women to reciprocate when the partner has already set the romantic mode, and with time I will reciprocate with the man's love language... Just lead us right, and the rest will follow,, (if my response is a bit patriarchic, I guess it's just different stokes for different folks)

All good and fair that the episode is about romance in relationships. But why are we hearing about romance from the male counterpart of what it is for their partners. I would have loved to hear what the men's ideas are for themselves. Yes, they are chasers but they also need to be romanced too.
