Aladdin (1992 vs 2019) - Song Comparison

A little comparison of the Aladdin songs between their 1992 animated versions opposed to their 2019 live-action versions.
The soundtrack for Disney's latest live-action film ALADDIN came out a few days back, and I immediately knew I had to make this comparison since I could hear obvious changes in arrangement and vocal quality between the two films.
The comparison is divided into 7 rounds featuring the following songs :-

I was talking about how Aladdin's lead cast are skilled/trained singers. Emma, on the other hand, isn't skilled/trained. You can literally hear the awful autotune in her voice and some notes were pretty much flat in the songs in Beauty and the Beast.

Natalie Ann since the movie is based on an arabic fictional city ( hence why the opening is “Arabian Nights”). The most Religion that’s being practiced in Arabic countries is islam. So, due to that, they changed Sunday which is the holy day in Christianity to Friday ( holy day in Islam) so it fits the movie even more and makes more sense.

I gotta admit.. Before I went to see Aladdin 2019 in the theaters, I was really skeptical after only hearing the songs. They felt a bit too "pop-ish" for me and I missed the "typical Disney sound". But honestly, after watching the 2019-version, I am crazy about it! The movie was amazing with incredible scenery and background-soundtracks. So the songs fitted in PERFECTLY! Can honestly say I love both version equally now - and the actors were amazing! xx

I feel like in the cartoon they obviously have a lot more freedom that the live action can't really do like in Prince Ali Genie stacked some guys on a pig. But in the live action it just gives great visuals and the singing and expressions felt real. They're both really great so I can't really choose the best out of the two. Don't forget in the cartoon version the carpet flew them around the world in the course of about 4 minutes, whereas in the live action version they just flew around the kingdom. Do u realize how fast they would've had to have been flying in the original version to go through all of those world landmarks so quickly? 92 carpet had to be flying at like Mach speed

I love both, I honestly don’t prefer either because they’re all amazing in their own way. They all made it their own, especially will. Also i know Mena doesn’t have the strongest voice compared to brad but Oml he still has the Disney prince tone that I adore. Times are different so the music and style will be different, all of Disney’s pop songs were very slow and not upbeat ( example beauty and the beast ) but love both. I’m not picky lol

He also doesn’t come off as Aladdin by the weird awkward scenes they do, Aladdin was a bit awkward but in the nervous way.

All these remakes are cash grabs that hold little to no originality and only serve as to using your nostalgia to milk money out of your wallet. Disney is no longer an art studio with the passion to create amazing, new stories for their audience to inspire and have them at aw.... No... That’s a problem (out of many) I have with live action movies. It takes a lot of the emotion and expression the animated movies have. That could just be like that because it’s unnatural to act like a typical cartoon character. Idk what you do think?
