Our religion(Hinduism) teaches us to put our country/land above religion. Rishi Sunak was born in UK, grew up in UK, studied in UK, worked in UK, is now PM of UK. He is following his dharma by putting British interest first. He will not betray the country that gave him everything. That's not what hinduism teaches. We don't expect him to be Indian or do us any favour. Whatever goodwill gesture he is doing towards India it's to get the FTA deal between India-UK. He's doing it for UK's economy & prosperity. PM Modi will follow his dharma & look out for Indian interest.

And BTW, the mainstream media has already highlighted issues regarding Manipur and Haryana among many other things that have been happening. Unlike the BJP who has a very focused goals, the opposition I.N.D.I Alliance seems to be jumping from one issue to other and has been so against the BJP that they didn't even participate in an event that was supposed to highlight India in the world stage. Out of dozens of prominent and hundreds of junior leaders, only 1 attended the G20 summit. As lndia gain much diplomatic, economic & military muscle, it's stature increase as well as it's decisive roles in world affairs. As such, lndia deserve a seat in the UNSC as a permanent member & the voice of G4 must be heard. Similarly, G7 must become G8 with lndia as the G20 was 'Renamed' as G21 with lndia's active lobying.

I am disappointed in you Palki.... 1. Rishi could simply be visiting temples as a person of faith... others may attach that to agenda to pull him down but why you insulting his devotion as appeasement, knowing well that he is a man of faith and a proud one at that..... 2. For argument, let's say it was photo op to appease. But he made it so clear about his affection toward the country... The joke is on us that we cudnt give him the importance he deserves as an honored guest who came so affectionately to the country of his roots.... he was so humble and well behaved.... let's give the respect he deserves as nation's son-in-law... instead we gave Britain a chance to insult him...

@@JohnJaneson2449 I doubt it. Trade with the UK is worth 0.3% of Indian gdp whereas trade with India is worth a mere 0.25% of uk gdp. As things stand India has more to gain than the UK, and it seems to me that in return for opening up UK markets to cheap labour, mass produced cars, pharmaceuticals and textiles, India is prepared to lower a few tariffs on drinks and luxury cars. India produces little in the way of raw materials that the UK needs, nor any manufactured goods it cannot source from allied countries who should be prioritised. Frankly I cannot see any benefit to the UK as a whole for a trade deal with India, only downside for everyone except the scotch whisky industry.
