Ranjani - Gayatri present version 2 of RaGa Candid through Eppo Music. These episodes are longer, more nuanced and immersive presentations that weave together music, conversations and themes. In this first episode for Eppo Music, Ranjani and Gayatri present a musical travelogue of the breathtaking and majestic Rishikesh, where the Himalayas and Ganga provide the most divine setting for spontaneous music! The above video, a portion taken from the 75 minutes plus episode, is shot in the Shivalik Himalayas, as RaGa sing the lilting Thillana of Lalgudi Sri Jayaraman in Ragesri set to Adi Tala.

Merging with nature Your RaGa Candid new edition with Eppo, kindled memories of various hues leaving me speechless. I have always never hidden my appreciation of your mini travelogues. But this mega travelogue of Hrishikesh is a discovery in itself because “by discovering nature, you discover yourself.” Be it the choice of your locations, songs, ragas, sarees and themes, it was a magical discovery all the way bringing us a new world of enchanting charm. You just merged with Nature. Looking at beauty in the world is the first step towards ‘Anthakaranashudhi’ (Purifying the mind). And here you just did the purification of our minds through the breathtaking glimpses, the never seen hues of clouds, the Lalima of the skies at rise and dawn, the chirping of the Himalayan birds, the bells of the temple and your enchanting Music. RaGa and a thillana? That was an added surprise. There is no match to the Himalayas and hence Sri Krishna himself proclaimed he was “स्थावराणां हिमालय:”.(He is Himalayas amongst the mountains). The efforts taken to get to the best spots enhanced the whole episode enabling one to long for them. I have visited Hrishikesh many a times but never saw any of these. The last fifteen minutes at Swami Dayanada’s ashram was such a fitting finale. We consider ourselves blessed for having done a course at the Ashram where Swamiji himself taught us. We have seen him doing the bandaras and Ganga Aarthi! My eyes went moist. The Ganga you saw lower down comes up in all her fury and touches Gangadeeswara during rainy seasons. Such is the beauty of that place and by concluding with those pristine glimpses in your white sarees you said “Nature always wears the colours of the spirit.” On a lighter note, add surreal and profound to the word play😃. One must acknowledge the hidden hands and minds of the Gokhales, Anagha, Siddharth, Madhuri(no longer the tanpura girl!) and Eppo music. In conclusion as Buddha said “If you wish to know the divine, feel the wind on your face and the warm sun on your hands.” A big ‘Thank You’

I've just watched the 75 minutes of pure bliss, beautiful, serene and divine episode of RaGa candid in eppo music. I really have no words to explain the moments you see in that episode. You should be blessed to watch this episode or to atleast listen a snippet of it. RaGa sisters are really the two celestial beings who came here to fill our lives with divinity and beautifulness.
