Sadly, none of my four years of studying literature at university were even remotely dark-academia-ish, although I did get weirdly into Marxist/feminist/British magick realism from the 1960s so that's kind of its own special aesthetic I guess. I live in England and have this aesthetic. Durham cathedral is a great place to visit and the universities you get here can look like that! You can also visit the place where they filmed Harry Potter because it isn’t far from Newcastle! Only about an hour and a half drive!
