I remember a female pastor telling me (based on her own life story) “if a man EVER hits you, attack with full force!” She did, when her husband played stupid, hit her, and she landed him in hospital afterwards. What happens when that first happens is of UTMOST importance. If the woman plays weak and cowers in fear, it WILL happen again. That rush they get seeing the woman in fear keeps them “coming back for more.” In this lawyer’s case his message was “you think you are some hot shot lawyer but I’ll show you who’s the man here” … because he saw that he successfully was able to beat her down with brute force the first time, it was the one thing he had that was superior and humbled her once already. There was nothing stopping him from going all out at that office, especially perhaps if he had been told she was leaving him or seeking divorce.

I'd dated a man for a few months, started to distrust him. I stopped dating him but remained friends. He asked if he could stop by one evening, I said yes but fyi I'm going to bed early & remember we're just friends. About 9pm I told him I needed to go bed. He couldn't believe that I wanted him to leave. He slammed tf out of my front door, then begged to come back in. He'd even sleep on the couch. Nope. You slammed my door, that was all the warning I needed. I've not seen him since. He randomly calls/text but no mam

Now I see why she was hesitant or reluctant to marry him. He had beaten the lovely black woman. I love her spirit, even though I never met her, but her spirit is familiar. My sweet lady was crying, because this degrading coward had possibly broken her arm.
