Hearing this made me miss the days when Rising Storm was real popular.. nowadays youre lucky to find a server with more than a handful of players as far as i know.. Im glad i played during the golden age of red orchestra. To all the soldiers we lost along the way 🫡

Me and you both brother. I remember the days when there were multiple 64/64 player servers on Bridges 24/7 in RO2 and couple full servers on Rising Storm as well. The peak player count was never really high but the small community that did play was awesome.

I always found it interesting how disciplined and faithful both the Germans and Japanese were, willing to fight any odds and almost unshakable in their determination, honor and duty to fight to the very end. What I believe really stands out is how they went about it; the Germans were logical, calculating and striving to be as efficient as possible, machine like almost, iron discipline, the Japanese on the other hand were more Spiritual and connected with their Ancestors, and did not want to bring dishonor or shame upon them. They both had the same mentality in the end of giving it all and till the very end, but they had a very different approach. With that said, same respect has to be given to the Americans, British and Soviets who fought against such forces, no doubt any mortal man would have been shaking to face such an fearsome opponent, where death was almost a guarantee.
@danelassiter68092 жыл бұрын
Many more nations fought in this bloody war not just these 5 but stalin did once say that a million deaths is a statistic so i guess we just dont have the time to honour every countryman who fought in this war so we just focus on "major countries" but it is what it is

I miss this game so much. I'm really sad to see that my favorite WW2 video games either got abandoned or ruined over the years. People moved on from Rising storm to Vietnam and other games like HLL. HLL isn't bad but I don't like how big the maps are and movement and guns don't honestly feel as good as RS1. War Thunder - Used to be great WW2 game with great community. But now is suffering from way too many vehicles and nations being in the game. World of Warships - Also a great WW2 game with ships but was ruined by too many additions and stupid ideas.
