Reupload to fix something minor. I don't think Abigail is in a horrible spot now, but I don't think he was before he was nerfed, either.

Hate Abigail with a passion but, I don't like all of these nerfs. The one to his command grab range, damage, and stun are completely unwarranted. The only adjustments he deserved was his hurtboxes, some recovery frames, and his VT1 going to 3 bars. He's not dead by any means but, I hate that they're neutering him further than he needed.

Abigail won exactly 1 event - a non-premier ranking event, in Latam, where Itazan was the only serious pro. It was held the same weekend as a North Am event that drew all the other big name pros and of course Itazan obliterated the rando locals. Abigail is very very dead from a competitive standpoint. He got nerfed into the ground while characters that were above him more or less skated. Also, the nerfs to the follow ups of the Critical Art and Bay Area Sunrise are completely ridiculous. He now lacks any sort of way to sustain momentum. Any time Abigail gets in, he's back to neutral after whatever initial combo/throw he gets in with. SFV is 110% based on maintaining momentum.

As far as I can tell, run flip doesn’t combo anywhere it didn’t before. The extra jp is only there to remove the hard knockdown setup he had off of only getting one hit. One change I’d like to see is to increase the range, or more likely, add forward movement to, EX punches so that it combos in more contexts. I would also like to see him get oki back on run grab.

At least bring back the C.short cancel If you want him to be brawler not a grappler or leave his command grab range

Cyber King exactly. They nerfed a lot of his normals claiming he needed to be more of a brawler lol. Plain dumb. I still try to cancel cr.lk every now and then lol.

By far the worst nerfs is the b+hp recovery and the command throw range reduction. He does not need these nerfs at all. Capcom should have increase his VT1 to 3 bars and nerf his normals damage and left him otherwise the same. He can't even punish properly now, and with the b+hp nerf he's going to have impossible time against low recovery projectile users like Guile, Dhalsim and Nash

I think everything else is fair enough but why nerf his stun? Look at this guy, he has 1000 stun? Non-sense.

He needs it, that feeling of being so close to getting a stun is all too prevalent, and this makes him much more fair

@@invincibleloonie then explain to me why Zangief and Alex have higher stun than him? If you say for balance gameplay I say they can tweak other specs at least leave his stun alone. What's even the point of his bulk? Ya know what I mean? What's even the point of this character design?

Minh Duy Tang He has a real parry on top of several armored normals, whereas Zangief is significantly more reliant on command grabs. Abi is more of a brawler and has tons of momentum, making him hard to stun without facing the risk of eating an armored attack.

@@invincibleloonie I still say leave his stamina and stun higher than others or just delete him. Think again, WHAT'S EVEN THE POINT OF HIS CORE DESIGN??? With that bulk he can be stun as easy as normal guys? Still makes no sense.

invincibleloonie I mean, he only has the armored normals in VT1, and even then the armor doesn’t start until frame 5. So most meaties will still beat wake up charged normal. Outside of VT1 the armor on EX run starts on frame three which loses to true meaties, but is still pretty good because this game doesn’t have a lot of true meaties (most setups still have attacks hit on first active frame, and usually frame three to beat wake up buttons). The same is true for EX punches as the armor also starts on frame 3. It isn’t until he’s in VT1 that he gets armor on VT1 on frame one of EX run, so he isn’t really swimming in defensive options. His only real response to punish meaty throw on wake up is jump canceled command grab, which not a lot of Abigail players are going to hit you with. Also, his parry requires him to make a read as his standing parry only parries attacks performed while standing or jumping, and down parry only works on crouching attacks.

Cyber King this happens often in many games. Because of being seen as a threat in pools and the like, players train harder against a particular character, which can lead to the character not winning tournaments but still possibly taking down several opponents in its path. Elena didn’t win EVO by herself, but that doesn’t change the fact that many players found her annoying and relatively easy to pick up

He was nerfed because people kept crying. In return, they took away everything that made him fun, and most of his good traits.

Thanks. Too nerf. He's lost the grab. Now. The figth is weak punch. All time. Also the super can be interrupted by cammy. And alex. I suppose more character... why? Abigail vs guile. Abigail was impossible to defeat him. I hope another change in future update.

Why make a character when you can't do anything with him? Rashid,bison,akuma,Cammy and that fucker ibuki are way op than Abigail. No Abigail won a major and only last Capcom cup an Abigail reached finals and was beaten badly by Rashid. Buff everyone. Make all characters strong and high tier.

VT1 needed to be 3 bars. He got too much reward and it lasted too long to be 2 bars. I'm happy with where he is now.
