Correction* Combining nitrates(Gtn)and sildenafil(pde-5 inhibitors)will not increase the blood pressure but it actually decrease the blood pressure...both drugs works by decreasing preload due to vasodilation, combine use can cause severe hypotension which inturn reduce blood supply to heart and heart is not able to mentain the cardiac output resulting in widespread hypoperfusion hypoxia and reduce blood supply to brain ,multi organ failure and irreversible shock.
