couple days ago after watching ur earlier guide I went through a depresso phase of "ah crap they updated the game so now it would probably give me random errors if I try to learn how to mod it from older guides", and now you're posting an UPDATED tutorial. holy shit, thanks man now I gotta get back on learning how to mod lol

"If you've never used C sharp or Unity, you probably shouldn't be making a mod-" WHICH IS EXACTLY WHY I'M DOING THIS!!! I'll be honest, I kinda just wanna learn, regardless. I've poured hundreds of hours into this game, and messing with all the character mods, and I gotta say, I see a lot of stinkers out there. I think I could do better. So to prove myself right, I now have to learn. (Also my friend wants me to, and out of everyone in our friend group, I'm the one who wanted to be a game developer at age 9)

@@willowism Just never give up. Cuz I did, lol. Not because it's too hard, I was actually getting somewhere with it but turns out my PC just isn't able to handle all the game development software. It can run it, just not well, and it tends to crash if I do anything too crazy. But I do still intend to learn when I get the equipment to do so.

@@willowism Me too. I got inspired when I saw a Hit mod. Hit from Dragonball Super. It was pretty bland. Standard punch with no range, standard projectile, standard dash. I'm sitting here like, I have so many cool ideas for this character that if I started listing everything I'd want to do and how to implement it, I'd hit the character limit for the next two comments. I main Hit in Dragonball FighterZ so I just have so much respect for him. If I ever get it down I'd also like to try my hand with more simple characters like Link from Zelda, or go for bigger concepts like Bayonetta and Yugi. I had this idea for Yugi like he'd be this summoner character with an actual rotating deck of cards that actually do something unique for each card. I don't think I'd go crazy like 40 unique cards or something, just like a set of 10-15 that you go through. You'd draw and discard for effects and stuff, sacrificing resources to gain resources and all that jazz.

My ChildLocator script doesn't have an option in Unity to view or otherwise change the transformpairs. Any thoughts on why that is?

if you're in a brand new project, it won't be there. You have to open up the henrytutorial project and run from there. if you got more questions, recommend heading to the modding discord

the tutorial has been updated. a few things are different on the coding side, but the unity side of it outlined here has stayed the same 👍
