Once again I use Boar Beach to my advantage. I know it seems cheap but it is part of the game's RNG; if I happen to have a game where Boar Beach is accessible I will gladly go there.

Great video! I'm confused- what did you do at 14:07 where you seemed to teleport yourself to a different stage... *OK, OK! :)* I just googled "Boar Beach" and found out about this magic! When I find a game I like as much as RoR, I intentionally don't read up on cheats/tips/faqs etc... I would have *never* found that for myself! ... I had to stop watching there because I don't want to see anything new untill I 'find' it myself.

How many hours did it take you to finish the game for the first time? Also do you have any tips for a newbie like me?

bangmeow Can't remember.. I think less than 10 hours? As for tips... first, always keep moving. Never stand idle for too long because one or two seconds of a mob landing hits is all it takes to kill you. Similarly, don't be afraid of running away to catch your breath and coming back to deal with a mob later. Second, learn how each character's skills synergizes with each other. Some characters have skills that are more effective if used in a specific order, so don't just button mash. You have to know when to use a skill and how long the cooldown is otherwise you may accidentally find yourself with 3 skills on cooldown and no way to defend yourself. Each character has their own tempo - use a skill, wait a second or two, use the second skill, etc. Third, if you're having a lot of trouble dealing damage, buy attack drones. These things do crazy amounts of damage and can prevent a mob from forming if you are killing enemies in a timely manner.

After doing all these monsoon solo playthroughs, which character was your favorite? And by that I mean, which one had the 'best' skills (in your opinion, of course) that, to you, seemed the most useful in serving to beat the game as efficiently as possible?

Ted Bundy Also, I entirely agree with what you said in the description. The Boar Beach does seem cheap, but it's part of the game - and if it's there, you sure as shit might as well take full advantage of it.

Ted Bundy Well, if you're talking about best, then I'd have to say the Huntress. Her ability to shoot while moving alone makes the game easy, and let's not forget she has two powerful AOE skills for crowd control and a low cooldown blink. My actual favorite is probably Chef because I never get tired of explosions of knives killing everything lol.

Ted Bundy Oh, a runner up is sniper because one-shotting bosses and enemies is also incredibly satisfying. If I was better at him I'd say he would be both the best and my favorite.

PalmSmash Nice man, thanks for the thoughtful and swift reply! I figured you'd say the Huntress was the best - that's easily the most likeable character in terms of sheer power and usability. As for the Chef, I know what you mean! He's quite fun to use. I haven't used the Sniper very much yet, but he seems like a difficult character to master.

Sorry for the late reply. Check out 14:00 onwards. It's a secret area you can access only on the tundra level, if the bridge is not broken. Toxic Beasts keep spawning and you can farm them indefinitely for items. I edit out most of the farming (check the timer in the top right to see how long I stayed there for). But you'll notice after the cut I am significantly higher leveled with more than two rows of items.
