All the changes and number of NPCs is probably due to Reactive World. I like Living World personally - doesn't change quite as much from the original game.

Paganacho, in the "General Modification" mod, there are two starts that one of them i find very fun, "Manhunter group" and the other that is a little bugged "slavers", you should try it. and also have the mod lost in ashlands that is very fun, but not half finished.

I don't think the overhaul mods are all that good for your performance or gameplay. Each one I tried makes the world have just an absolutely unreasonable amount of people and more factions each of which has even more people.

If you have a somewhat modern-ish computer (SSD, CPU from the last 5 years or so, decent GPU) it's pretty manageable. I'm running UWE alongside another 400-ish mods just fine on a mediocre 2021 gaming laptop. I think the bigger problem might be that he's not running any of the performance optimization mods, which help a TON.

Equinox Overhaul is a lightweight overhaul that I highly recommend as it runs really well in my potato-ish PC with performance optimization mods

@@gogudelagaze1585 the game is clearly not unplayable for him (and neither was it for me), but the slowdown is frustrating in a game like Kenshi, where you do have to wait a lot. The worse offense honestly is all these people, it gets ridiculous. Everything is overpopulated and throws off the vibe.

Mr Gan Damme pls lower the squad size in the game options to improve Frames. UWE adds a bunch of generic NPCs that make the world more lived in, but tank the frames. i use the same mod and found that switching squad sizes from 1 to .66 reduced them enough to be playable and i don t need 30 highly trained guys just to take a swamp village

Beep! Currently doing a run with a greenlander "the saint of killers" (see preacher ;) and building the town of Ratwater in Shem. I ll be making bad quality rum and sell it all over ;-) experiment with a open / public town, see what happens

That's why I stopped playing with the Universal Expansion mod. Wayyyyyy too many NPCs on a game engine that cannot handle it, causing the game to lag out like crazy. That and people in towns just started fighting for no reason. Somehow the United Cities became at war with all the minor factions in their towns, so Tech Hunters, Machinists, Skeletons and Shinobi Thieves were getting wiped in every United Cities town. It was very annoying

thats why i dont really like the UWE modpack ,its way too overpopulated everywhere u go. lots of cool additions otherwise though.
