Drae, if you save and reload the game (for example if it crashes), it stops the growth of the fish, currently in the state of this game you have to do it all at once (Take all the smolts from the port, get the food, drop it off and feed them for 4 days, after that they grow to 8kg and you can sell them). Keep in mind that if you reload the game, it crashes etc. it bugs out the fisheries and you have to get rid of the fish and do the process all over again. Btw, you can sleep in the boat and the process will continue, but the food consumption increases every time they grow.

you also need to turn the fishery on to get the progress you will hear a sound like a generator in the background

@@larkinklarkin3379 It is in early access. Their last two games were like this as well and it just took them a bit to iron out all the bugs. They also switched to Unreal Engine for this game because they are hoping to eventually add mod support. I purchased this game knowing that it was going to be a buggy mess. I just want to support a small independent studio and they didn't let me down on the last two games. They will get there with this one. Just will take some time.

It’s broken. The fish eat daily and grow. It only takes 4 in game days for them to grow fully up. The fisheries are broke more than anything else in the game. You can’t save or reload anything in the fisheries. Once reloaded the fisheries act like nothing is in them

If they are working you can make 20 million for 20k in fish every 4 days but you have to do it all at once.

Lol seriously, it's when the crazy, goofy, wth is happening, Drae's mind is breaking along with the game, kinda videos that always leads me to binge watching more of his stuff cause I get to laugh so hard I can't breath and it's absolutely just so funny! Not sure about in game, but irl marine engines are designed to be run at 100% throttle continuously. They basically set the redline at a point that isn't actually the engine's maximum possible, unlike a car engine. I used to be a marine engineer, and every marine engine I've ever worked with was supposed to be run at full throttle when at sea not maneuvering

Hey Drea there’s a very bare bones autopilot that you can use with the route nodes. While in first person look for the screen that’s black and look at the power button is should say “turn autopilot on”

Drae the distince on the Skomvaer mission when you picked it up said 7.4 NAUTICAL Miles which when converted to Kilometers is 13.7

Drae doesn't realise to do something correct, he manages to break the game! Or the game is so frustrating and goofy it becomes painful to play. Whatever it may be ,Drae and his commentary is what makes any game fun and enjoyable to watch.

The game is really that bug filled I got it a couple days ago, it's in a real bad state currently but Drae is correct the guys who made this game tend to release their games in poor states like this unfortunately I have previously bought them at release in the same state. The good news is they do fix the issues over time.

I went ahead and bought it BECAUSE the devs are known for polishing it up, and once they get it up to snuff, there's probably going to be a price hike. It is buggy, and saving doesn't help. I saved and quit, and when I logged back in, all my freight and missions were gone. I'm excited to see where this goes, but I am going to wait a few updates before really getting into it.

Drae, I think (from seeing other videos on this issue), the Fish farming doesn’t function properly if you save/load your game once you’ve put them in the farm and fed them. Add the smolt, add the food, but do not save until after you’ve rested for a few days and sell your stock. Otherwise, they will not grow past 1kg

I must be very lucky as I've never had a crash. I lost a load of fish food because I changed the name of the boat after loading it but that's about it. I sailed up to the big port up north today. It took 3 hours lol. At least we have autopilot now.

They should make a grid system for all the stuff you want to bring aboard and place. _> When you want to place a thing, you see where the item can (highlight). So far I see now, you have a one place and a two place. Easy to create and should help make it more clear.

Honestly, it's a real shame the developers of these games could really hit a gold mine as it's an amazing concept. I had the same issues Drae is having with "Fishing North Atlantic." Save games corrupting, constant crashes, my ship glitching through the map. Its a real shame they fucked up so badly.

To me having a fully functional save system should have been implemented before release. Also I picked up the repair perk that allows some repair at sea that saves a bit of money but the perk for less fuel consumption doesn’t seem to be working at the moment.

You know you can get fuel right at Rost, and its unlimited fuel also, so you don't have the refuel the refuel station ^^!

Drae at the end of the video where you were checking if the fish were growing or not if you look at the food you can see that it was still at what you originally had in it even after 2 days so the fish wont grow

I might have a solution to the crashes, I have 45 hours of playtime with 0 crashes, an one of my friends had the same problems as you, the only difference between my friends and I, was that I bought the game through Epic Games, and he bought it through Steam, and I’m just saying, but my friend hasn’t had any crashes since he switched to epic.

I didn't have any problem by teleporting, probably since I have always teleport when boat is docked and I am on shore and ofc save before doing it :D Any bug I have so far is I can't go fishing, I bought the ship, upgraded it to full, install the long line. When I go to take supplies for fishing game won't let me because I don't have free space to load the bait and hooks regardless of boat being empty ofc. Since I have little older GPU, my graphics is kind-a pixelated sometime and there's a lot of blooring effects going on, but game is running smooth with highest settings without problem. I have running the game on Intel i7 12700, Radeon RX590 256bit 8gb DDR5 and 32GB of system RAM Rule No.1 - Finish deliveries, put you character on shore and then SAVE the game before anything else.

I think salmon farm is broken. You rested for a couple of days and daily food consumption didn't went down a bit. So they won't grow I think

You should check out the game sailwind! It’s a physics based sailing game. The voyages take some time but I think you would enjoy it

Your boat is named "Voices" in Swedish, is there something we should know? =P (Although, "Röster" is "Stemmer" in Norwegian, still, bit funny.. (And for another sidetrack, Norwegian sound more or less like a dialect for most Swedes. Or Swedish like a weird dialect for a Norwegian.. )
