@archimedes131 not at all. I've stretched a half dozen pairs of the van's AVE ( not the new ones) with a metal stretcher I got off amazon a couple years ago for around 50 bucks. Also use the shoe stretch liquid. I imagine a less well constructed show might not work as well. I've also stretched NB numerics with no problem.
