Great channel Sam. I know the med well as my family is Italian but I have also been to Spain, South France and Greece. If you want secluded beautiful bays and beaches Id recommend Sardinia. It's vast and mostly unspoiled. I recommend the Italian Ice cream too. Plus Cilento in South Italy is beautiful. The med sea water temp from Eastern Spain to Italy to Greece is as warm as many tropical oceans during the long summer. The Med near Gibraltar is cooler. Sword fish and tuna are delicious there. Bon voyage

So cool! I loved that mast climb underway. Small boats have way more dynamic movement than even boats a few feet bigger. I've been looking forward to climbing my mast underway on Wave Rover II first chance I get. In my former life I did a lot of very high industrial scaffolding for a while, not that it's the same but I like to think that I have a head for heights. Another great video my friend.

The timing of skipping tourists is exactly what I'm going to appreciate when I get my boat. At hot springs I like to go to Tofino I take the last tour boat out and while everybody's at the hot springs I set up my campsite, the boat goes back without me, then I either hitch a ride back on one of the tourboats that has an empty seat the next day. So I tend to get the hot springs all to myself for the evening or at least other less traditional visitors and then again first thing in the morning while they're crystal clear and undisturbed and then I'm done just as the first tour arrives so I don't get bothered by any tourists.

Try wrapping then tying a string around the overlapping parts of the split ring. This will keep the spinnaker halyard from working it's way into the split ring, and prevent the split ring from working its way off.
