I recently found your channel and am so pleased I did. You're now in my neck of the woods. I'm an expat who lives in San Vicente (inland, near Alicante). I love how positive you guys are and respectful while keeping things real. I agree Guadalest is a must, also fuentes del algar, especially at this time of the year, in summer it's rammed. Going past Benidorm towards Alicante is La Vila ( or Villajoyosa) which is where the Valor chocolate factory is, the beachfront is to die for. Past there is El Campello, which also has a nice promenade. Looking forward to Tuesday. Enjoy the warm weather, personally I was hoping for a cooler winter this year!😅

In September motorhomes are parked in the carpark, none on Fridays . On the road to calpe (very twisty road) is all you can Chinese, it used to be 10 euros each. 😊

Andreas mum and dad had a villa in Moraira and this has brought back lovely memories... lovely place. She spent loads of time there. Ruby our doggy has sent Dolly a treat to make her feel better as she seems to be the only dog Ruby doesn't bark at on the tv. Pippa might have a treat too 😅 All the best ... keep 'em coming

Get yourself down to Alicante, it's a beautiful city, very compact, beautiful old parts. Don't miss a trip up to the castle. Find the lift that takes you all the way to the top, its just off the beach, other side of the road. If you can't get parked nearby there's a great tram service from benidorm to Alicante

We've seen loads of 'camping' behaviour on car parks, and you're right, I will be the end of free parking for motorhomes and campers unless I changes. We've just been down to the south of Torrevieja near the beach where there are nice clean seaside roads with dozens of moho's camping outside plush apartment blocks. If I was an apartment owner I wouldn't want them there with solar panels blocking the footpaths. There was also a no dogs beach nearby, which was full of loose dogs!

Great vid as always, whilst in Benidorm you must try tapas alley in the old town, wonderful food and plenty of choice, definitely a food heaven. Back in UK now, knackered! I forgot to give you the info on Supermarkets in Spain. Mercadona is Sainsbury’s equivalent, maybe a little towards better end. Fruit and Veg is always really good and fresh. Far better than Lidl’s. I buy mostly from Mercadona but also get things from Lidl’s, rarely Aldi or Dia, just try and find the best for you. Mercadona also do Cold cooked tapas for you to warm up and eat at home. Very yummy too. Also Japaneses! Lidl’s and Aldi same as UK. All above have a bread slicer you use yourself. Really fun to use. Dia is the Spar end of supermarkets on a much bigger scale. Lidl good for certain alcohol, Mercadona others. Try the cheaper end of bottled wine. You will be surprised at the quality for 2 to 3 Euros. Don’t be put off for guzzling wine. Rose Cava from Mercadona. 3ish Euros a bottle, madness. Have fun. Xx

if you like chicken try the koekoek in oostende belguim on the corner of langestraat and christinastraat you can get only chicken there do not take chips as you will be asked to leave you get fresh bread with your chicken and washed down with a 25cl glass of beer they use about 36 different spices as well i go all the time to that place

Do you not carry a powerbank? We use a Ecoflow and kep it topped whilst driving .. We never need a campsite. I will use a camp site just never need one. Ahh Xavier cliff area being barriered off.

Loving the idea of sunny warm days. It’s great that Dolly was confident on the beach. Don’t worry about the ads - we can always scroll past. We were meant to set off for Spain and Portugal in September but had to postpone because our dog needed knee surgery. Now planning our imminent trip; how is the caterpillar situation where you are? I must say that it’s a concern I have about this time of year and the warmer weather.

Reference the parking up where overnight stays or length limit applies. 100% I wouldn’t stay there. We are down in Mojácar where no campers over 5m are allowed to park up. Some are still parking up and I hate to say, it is a lot of UK registered vehicles. Spain offers us some excellent free ‘aires’, mainly inland, and we are putting that all at risk. If everyone was more responsible and adhered to the rules us motor homers will be seen in a better light.

Correct me if I’m wrong I don’t understand the physics of it but wouldn’t putting your solar panels on your dash be dangerous I was always told of my grandad not to put anything on my window bottom because it might catch fire in the sun because the window acts like a magnifying glass and can cause a fire to start. Like I say I might be wrong but because of him telling me that as a child I’ve never put anything flammable on my window ledge. I’m laughing as I’m writing this because maybe he just wanted me to keep my room tidy he was crafty like that. But it has stuck with me so job done I guess 😂

Hi Corinne & Paul, Campsites are expensive just like parking at the seafront where my wife likes to be, but the food looked delicious 😋. Since you travel around and I am looking to book travel for April - June in our M/H in Spain and France would you say that I should book sites/aires in advance? Just wondering what your power set up is as I only have 1 x 120 watt solar panel on the roof (I think) and the vans std solar charge controller and I don't have a power bank yet! Good morning Drew and Linda ! ❤️ it’s kinda peak season at the moment , it’ll, be a bit quieter in April to June , you can pre book with camping car parks card in France ( small fee but worth it ) seafront sites do have free parking , but to be sure might be worthy of a pre book , although we have been mostly free in Spain … power wise , get as much as you can on the roof , it’s quite easy to do , usually just plug and add , also ensure your leisure battery is good, I have 2 x 110 amp agm , it’s a A class battery , they do have different types … A is best .. , if you have one, I would definitely double it, or consider lithium , we also have a 1500 , review due to be released today ! 🙂 hope that helps ! 🥰🥰🐩🐩🐾🐾

Another excellent vid. Thanks for your honest warning of ads. I think you're right in the way you're going to do it, as they are a real turn off for me. I'm so fed up with one family of KZbinrs who keep plugging everything, especially Surf Shark, that I have stopped watching them. We have moved up now to a nice free Aire at Zaragoza. Van next to us proceeds to dump all his waste water across the Aire. He is 20 meters from a proper drop. A whole new issue but I feel we are fighting a losing battle I’m afraid 😢 Enjoy your trip ❤

Dogs are not like people they live in the moment not the passed or with ego's, i wouldn't break the parking rules personally as before long all parking will be removed, i thought it was 3 points and a fine for serving up a delicious looking chicken whilst on the phone 😂😂, anyway another enjoyable vlog keep them coming 👍

Have people given you a tough time for your ads etc? Seems odd to me to complain. You are upfront with your video and people can watch or not can’t they? Good evening both , whilst I understand and thank you for being up front about earning money doing what you are doing. The problem you are going to have to overcome is the u tube motor homing is now flooded with hundreds of you guys all doing the same thing. !!! Just my view you need to travel inland ,I think I have already told you we had an apartment in Spain for 20 years you are not even scratching the surface you are following the tried and trusted routes .its like a field of sheep .you guys are much better at this .dont follow the flock .they are starting to clamp down free park ups and lay by stops rightly so in my view have a great trip 👍

Hi William, appreciate the comments , we do plan moving inland on the return, Benidorm was always on the list to see, particularly the old parts , I’m sure you’ll see we like history, architecture and scenery , we are far from the hustle bustle of central Benidorm, we do agree with you , but we lost time when our poor little dog was attacked, we are open to your suggestions for inland stops, we already have penned Guadalest, xalo and would welcome your thoughts on any more , we return to the uk in March , so would hope to keep the mileage reasonable 👍🌞🇪🇸

@@redsgotravels thanks for your reply Benidorm out of season is lovely,I just wish the brits would embrace the local culture, just try to be polite they appreciate your bad Spanish rather than just asking them ‘do you speak English’’’ pet hate of theirs!! If you have not been to Guadalest make sure you take the main route up you won’t make the other way!! And really enjoy it it is a lovely place to go enjoy

You say you have to pay for aires in France? There are hundreds of free well maintained aires de service as well as paid ones in the towns and villages all over France and much safer than supermarket car parks and autoroute stops. You may be limited to the amount of time you are legally allowed to stay 24 hours/72 hours and like Spain they are "parking" not "camping" areas so no chairs, tables, awnings etc. I've been motor homing in France for 15 years and never paid to stop in an aire. Camping pitches in the popular areas of Spain are often booked year to year so even if you are lucky enough to get booked in you will find you often get the short straw when it comes to quality and size of pitch. Have a great time in Benidorm.

How do you manage for power ? No solar available , we have sat systems, computers and other items for vlogging and uploading videos, they are power hungry unfortunately… we needed a hook up .. if you watch our previous vlogs you’ll see we’ve stayed on hundreds of free aires throughout over 20 plus countries 👍

Depends where you are referring to, the tourism office directs you to the rear of the main car park by the market , the beach is clearly a no 👍

@@redsgotravels we were there in November. Tourist Office was closed and the signs in the car park depict no over night stays even on non-market days. Some people were parking on the waste ground off the tarmac but as a local said it depends how the local police are feeling on the day - so we didn't risk it.
