I saw Ristar and hoped before I even clicked the video that it was Splash Down, I freaking LOVE this track. Water levels suck, but they have the best music, every time. Ristar is no exception!

I feel like Smash needs more obscure characters instead of just popular ones, since it can introduce more people to that series, so if Smash got another obscure character, Ristar would be a great choice!

I freaking love Ristar, it was the first Megadrive game I bought with my own pocket money after helping at my family's groceries store when I was a kid! We had a Megadrive at my grandparent's home and since I was there almost every weekends and was pretty much the only one playing video games, I used to leave some of my games there. I was so mad when one day I found out that one of my older cousin decided to take them and sell them to get money!

Damn straight. The soundtrack alone was enough to make 4 year old me fall in love with this game. I'm not sure which I played more back then, Sonic or Ristar. So far, the only way I've experienced this game is via emulation and clone consoles. I plan to get an original cartridge for my Sega Genesis soon.

You think Ristar is underrated? Try Vectorman. Sega doesn't even acknowledge him anymore outside of Genesis collections. The Vectorman and Vectorman 2 soundtracks are awesome. Especially Ocean. The song for stage 3 in Vectorman 1.
