I haven’t seen her in long time. Last time I saw her was on cable TV in the 90s. Rita is a class act, with her ability to walk the edge of everything without splashing into it. Elegant, beautiful, and with an exquisite sense of timing, which is the heart of humor… She’s he kind of person everybody wishes they were friends with. Most comediennes today are crass, unimaginative, and tell “jokes” that not only are not funny, but that are so demeaning (usually of themselves and their loved ones) that one walks away happy that such person is not among our acquaintances, let alone friends. I was watching this woman recently (honestly, can’t remember her name) delivering a skit about drinking her own urine after doing meth to get high again for free. Then she went on to describe (very credibly) the time she thought it was a “cool” thing to give bj's to all the members of a baseball team in a motel room. Humor!? Pleeeease...Then the same people that laugh these things gawk in horror when someone says something considered even slightly politically incorrect. Comedy is dead. We miss you Rita!!!...

I like her; great material and delivery. She may not be a Carlin or a Pryor but she does have thoughtful material. I suspect she'd have shone a lot brighter if given more recognition earlier in life.
