Getting one hand fed baby is going to be better for you if you want a personal relationship with your pet bird. You should work with your bird for the first year bonding with it. If you would like to get a second pet bird after that it would be okay but if you want them to act like pets and stay bonded with you do not put the two birds in the one cage

Adopting a baby green cheek and bonding with it can be a wonderful experience - it has been for me - but remember your bird very much needs your companionship to be happy, and will suffer if left alone too much.
