I graduated in 1969 from Pacoima Jr. High, I even had the honor to play in the same auditorium and on stage that Ritchie played. I came back to live in the city I was raised in after 20 years and this is home, somewhat changed but my house where I grew up in holds the memories.

I went to this school in 1995 when I was in 7th grade. Part of the math magnum program. I lived in Silverlake and was suppose to go to King Middle School but I took a school bus everyday to here. My elemantry school (Ivanhoe elm.) was one of the last schools to change from K-6 to K-5. I was part of the last group that was in 6th grade at elementary school) I believe that's when this middle school first started requiring all students wear school uniforms. Black pants and a white polo shirt was all we were allowed to wear. I hated it. Also we always made fun of our initials being PMS. Our school newsletter would say something like "Santa Claus is coming to PMS" and we would find that so funny.

I was just starting in the 7th grade in 67', scared as heck I could not get my locker open. To the right of me was this beautiful blond student body president in her locker and she saw I was new and scared, she told her friends to go ahead and said can I help? She helped me open my locker and said don't worry you will get it, and don't be too scared I was also when I started. The girl was Colleen Camp who went on to become a well known actress in television and movies, I never forgot that day.

I wish they would do a big budget film that includes all the stars. and base it on all facts from who witnessed the tour, family, ect . from what valens family stated Labomba the movie wasn't very accurate..with all the up to date film making I would love to see a film based on true events..the movies were good don't get me wrong but ive researched alot and Hollywood didn't give buddy, richie justice on facts. the movie I would love to see would include the big bopper since there hasn't been one on him and include the tour, what they went through. how they got there. ect. but RiP to all who lost their lives.
