It seemed like a normal day at Ritchie’s Mt Eliza, www.ritchies.com.au. Appearing as store workers and shoppers before the performance, these singers from acclaimed Australian group Pot-Pourri www.pot-pourri.com.au had customers crying and cheering for more with their beautiful rendition of Bocelli’s ‘Time To Say Goodbye’ from their recent CD ‘Silver’.

What I love most about these moments. Seemingly 'ordinary' people doing their jobs go unnoticed until they literally raise their voices and the second thing I truly love is to see the effect on people. Their smiles their emotions. Simply lovely.

I agree. I would have liked to hear the whole song and watch the singers. Why didn't they have the shoppers reactions after the song finished? It was discourteous to the singers to have spoilt their performance in this clumsy needless way.

I love to watch the faces of the children as for many of them it will be the first time they will have heard opera and I hope it is not the last. These opera singers have hopefully instilled opera into the hearts and souls of all who listened to them. I just love watching the opera flash mobs.

I've heard this song so many times, haven't we all, but 6 years & 6 weeks from it being posted, and 3:30 in the morning from my bed, I'm joining the weeping shoppers in this video. This is the first time I've cried listening to this song. What's the difference? May be the setting, no bright lights or glittering clothes or sparkling props nor big name stars to distract just the beautiful lyrics and music. That's malarky; this person wants to be catholic, and IMO that's a thin slice of the viewership. There are plenty of us who are snotty nosed when it comes to full on performances, and the singers, but not when the generosity of this company allows us in to share a fragment, a gem. The smiles everywhere in the store proves the point; they were there on errands and stopped to be enchanted. Thank you Ritchies.

Totally agree with you - but it's not uncommon in Australia to hear members of the audience applaud before an aria is finished (all the artist has to do is draw breath). So I guess the editor was trying to portray a more realistic Australian experience.
