I like the adult trio of this series as much as I like our main trio. I love how grounded and realistic these characters are, they feel like actual people whose mental and emotional decline you see and feel as the series progresses.

The Ikari (And Akagi) Family is pretty messed up the more and more I think about it Yui Became one with a Giant Alien Space Robot, and To cope with that, Her Husband started to Sleep with someone else, And After said someone else killed her self due to The Clone of Yui and also God calling her an “Old Hag”- which wasn’t even said by Rei, It was said by Gendo, She was literally just copying off of him-, He Slept with HER DAUGHTER to cope with it, And then, Years later, He proceeded to Emotionally- and Kinda, Maybe, I mean, He’s the one who brought Shinji in to Fight Actual Angels- Abuse his Son, and Use him to End the World by piloting the Alien Robot that Absorbed his Wife… Yeah, No, This show is CRAZY

Ritsuko didn't really like Gendo like that, she hated her mother for her mothers dependency on Gendo, and as mentioned multiple times during the series by her mother Ritsuko was never one for men and really only saw Gendo as a viable option to somewhat escape loneliness

i interpreted it more as like she realized early on that her mother prioritized men she loved (i.e. gendo) above everything. i doubt as a teenager she had much of a crush on gendo.

It's really sad how Misato and Ritsuko's relationship deteriorated over the course of the series. They were good friends since college, and were inseparable by the time the series started. Then, once Misato learned more and more of NERV's secrets, and Ritsuko's cover-ups, their friendship ended in the most ugly way possible.

2:24 Kaji and Ritsuko have a good report because they are the only two normal human beings at this stage who have some knowledge at this stage how f*cked humanity in general and themselves in particular are. They both have some inklings of Seele and Gendo’s plans and are the only ones. Kaji may even suspect she’s doing her boss, that’s what he’s referring to.

There were some longer clips, especially at the end of the show, that I originally included but cut for copyright reasons. Looking back it was probably right to end things on a somewhat tense but somber moment than really going for the kill like I would've had I been able to include everything.

She's the best woman in evangelion. She is literally the real NERV's smart mind responsible, she does not care that much on men (yes she has her toxic interest in Gendo but she tryes to not let that phase of her controll her life or decitions or time) she is cold minded. And she doesn't feel the need to be catching attention on men using her body, she's most time really covered up. I suppouse most men prefer dumber, emotional, showing skin women (and some of those waaay younger women than them, and thats kinda creepy in my opinion, in the best case just immature)

no, the original 30 minute cut kind of sucked, looking back on it now. there were a lot of long clips that wouldn't pass the youtube copyright check, plus some of them weren't very relevant or contained heavy, heavy spoilers for the ending of the show, so in a way i'm glad i cut them.

Do we know what happened to Ritsuko’s father? My guess is he killed himself out of shame that his wife and daughter were sleeping with the same man while still getting cucked by, respectively, a 6-year-old and a 14-year-old.

Ritsuko's father isn't directly referenced once, only mentioned offhand, implying that he abandoned Naoko before Ritsuko was born. I doubt Gendo had anything to do with it.
