I use that on underside of my truck. Snow an salt doesn’t stick at all. I put on 2 to 3 bottles under the truck before winter an have zero rust. It works like a dream.

Always love your *rear blade* action Jon ! The first year I got my BX, I broke a bunch of sheer pins, and I realized why... I was running my RPMs way too low, ( around 2200 ) now I crank the thing up until I'm at the beginning of the PTO range on the instrument panel of the tractor and haven't had any problems. Thanks for the video ! I'd do the Turtle Wax thing, but at $8,999 a bottle up here in Canada I can't do it LOL LOL

What I found that works best. Get the tractor outside as it is warming up to get the blower or plow cold so the snow doesn’t collect on it right away. Then I have a little mix I spray on.

Thanks Jon, great tip about the spray wax! Have you had any issues with it freezing either in the bottle or after it lands on a frozen surface? Having the snowblower clog with snow has always been the biggest issue that I've ever had with snow blowers. The way that I deal with it (after it has clogged up), is to clean it out with a strong jet of water from a garden hose. My routine is to always wash the snow and ice off after I've finished using it.

Yes indeed, great tip. We don't get enough snow for a snow blower, but I will use it on my bucket if we do get a little bit of snow. I would like to get some edge tamers so I don't mess up the Gravel.

Hi Jon! Have you ever tried a product called "Slip Plate"? I saw it used on a mower deck by another KZbinr back this summer, seemed to work pretty well! He did say it's a bit expensive, but worked really well. Stay warm, stay safe!

Because you've been using fluid film and cooking spray the wax will have a hard time sticking at first but once it adheres if should work great for you. It's also cheaper than fluid film. Hope all is well Mike. Any snow yet? Keep on tractoring! Merry Christmas 🎄

Don't get enough snow here in southwestern Idaho to worry about snow removal most of the time, and I didn't even bother putting the snow blower on my lawn tractor this year. Figured if we actually get enough I might put the blower on, otherwise I'll just wait a day or so for it to melt and go away...worst case I can hookup the rear blade on the Kubota, but so far haven't needed to, my BX hasn't moved out of the shop since the end of October, and don't see it moving until mid to late spring most likely.

@@ritterjon In the year and a half I've had my BX I've managed to put 63 hours on it. The more it sits the happier I am, it means I don't have a huge project list to try and tackle LOL. I'm hoping to pickup a flail mower this year and if that's the case it's going to get much more use. I have a couple of 1/2 acre properties that I have to keep mowed down as the people who own them don't have equipment to do it....I've been using the mid mount mower on the BX but that's hard on a lawnmower deck, need something more robust to keep the weeds and small saplings at bay.
@ritterjon2 жыл бұрын
@@wildbill23c A flail mower will be the perfect attachment for that job. 👍
@wildbill23c2 жыл бұрын
@@ritterjon I think so too. Not trying to cut brush, just grass and 1/2 inch or smaller saplings occasionally. I was going to get a 48" rotary cutter but don't really need something that heavy duty, and all that mower hanging off the back of the tractor in a smaller fenced area would be cumbersome. The flail mower is a much smaller unit to have on the back of the tractor.
