Lore-wise, I find it really interesting how Lara seems to be the least narratively important, seemingly not being directly tied to the Gusto lineage (not being related to Kamui/Elder) and not being chosen by the Zefra like Wendi and Pilica. Yet she is consistently THE heaviest hitter of the group as Ulti-Alpelio and ESPECIALLY Ulti-Gaiapelio, and now even MORE so with her new Link forms

So...when are we getting another Digimon video? :P Aside from that, I come back to this video every so often because of a Reddit post I saw showing off all sorts of complicated combos you can do with Ritual Beasts. I still don't understand it, but at least they are adorable and cool cards. And yeah, Konami really drops the ball on merchandizing. I also want a Rampengu plushie.

My favourite play with this deck involved me having a board of just Ulti-Pettlefin. My opponent activatied Shaddoll Fusion, so I proceeded to break contact on Ulti-Pettlefin into two banished things. That forced them to throw away two cards in hand (including a DAD) because I no longer had any Extra Deck monsters on board. Perhaps I should pick RitBeasts back up.

I love this deck, I played it as my main deck from relise all the way up to 2018 when I quit the game. I even played zefer Wen for a bit because it being an extra name got you an extra search. It was not worth it. Honestly no deck has ever been more intresting or fun to me

She didn't get the Zefra treatment that freed many characters from Shadoll Posession. She only came back after Tierra is destroyed (In the art work of that 1st spell Nova showed, many characters where "revived" [Gusto Egul, Winda of Gusto, Gem Knight Lapis, etc]). She has also 1 of the longest member of shadolls (aside from Construct), so her soul is quite corrupted before revival

I ADORE this crew Lore-Wise, especially since it does feel like Wen/Pettlephin are clearly calling back to like... Ice-Barrier/Gishki days, even if not saying it? Ritual Beasts are like... all the other factions ran off into the woods and became Druids with Animal Buddies and I live for it! Plus... yeah, it just... Charmers being Duel Terminal relevant is so wild. I hope one day we learn where the heck Lara and Wen even CAME from? They never really get explained and... it's still not really hard confirmed where the Lore goes after the events of KimunFalcos/Zefra Providence/Duel Terminal Ending? Like... World Legacy came next and that line of lore seemingly has a little bit of attachment to Tierra/the Qliphort with their World Core being made by it? I STILL think that the "Abyssal Dimensional holes" look like the Qliphort Sigil as well so maybe that ties in but... whuh? are these all various multiversal dimensions in the Duel Spirit World? Does the Abyss Continent exist in the Duel Terminal World too? Are we gonna like... "Return to the Duel Terminal World" and check in with how Naturia is going? What happened to like... the Gem-Knights, now that they don't have the pyroxene cores to the Sephirot World Key? Does the Forest just like... Regrow? Does the Sacred Tree ever Fall out of the Sky? is it burnt to ashes? NOVA I NEED TO KNOW!!! Meanwhile I'm over here scripting a Gravekeeper's Video in my head, as if they're plot relevant anytime soon, lol. Anyways, Great video dude!

Wendy and Lara are war orphans from the previous war. In reality despite the fact that only a few characters pop up in the artwork there are many unnamed Canon fooder soldiers that doesnt get printed to avoid bloated archetype like ice barrier.

Do we learn how big exactly that world is? If it's literally just the four tribes who battled Sophia, it's too small to contain the charmers and the Abyss/Echo Chamber Nation.

@xCorvus7x I mean, is it really that small? Throughout the 3 generations of duel terminal, we get 20 different archetypes duking it out just as main players! It doesn't seem like too big a stretch to say that others could be watching as well

@@GreyGaymer Honestly, yes. Most of these archetypes are descendants or further evolutionary stages of those four or five tribes and whatever came from those. If the charmers are part of that world/live on the same planet, it has to be big enough 1) to house very many of the other YGO cards printed until then, if not all of them, and 2) for Wynn to leave her people and miss the entire story of the Duel Terminal lore, or at least only get the news after the fact/when it was too late to go back and help her people. Had she found out about the war and Sophia in time, she certainly would have returned, wouldn't she?

@xCorvus7x it does seem to make the most sense, but equally, with how many big world ending threats are LIKE Sophia, I don't really know how information might travel in the Yugioh world? It could be that the charmers are explicitly dimension hopping? Or maybe they just wanted to tell a tighter story? There's a lot of different ways they could have played it, I suppose! I'm surprised they haven't called back to Sophia as much as they have, say, the Shaddoll, etc? Maybe the Chalmers left the Dimension? Or it's a reference to how the Duel Spirit world in the anime was made up of various different little pocket worlds? Or the Charmers were busy off fighting ANOTHER big deific monster?

I really LOVE this archetype, and after Zefra, I think it is my Duel Terminal favourite deck (although it was 1st for a looooooong time.) Huh....Petalfin strikes me as a way to "store" monsters as a hard to kill monster. Can tag in with generic materials in Defense position, whether a Raigeki or whatever destruction your opponent has in store, and if they have a negate or non-destruction removal, you can just tag it back into its materials or a couple other ones you might need. I want to remember this playstyle...

Kimunfalcos actually gives us a very accessible line into a properly made Gaiapelio, but likely with only 1-2 negates :(. While I think it’s the most least interesting type of boss monster, I’d love for a third wave of support to make gaiapelio easier to make, or at the very least make the deck more consistent. If you don’t find Elder + Hawk/Pengu, you quite literally can’t do anything. The end board is honestly sound enough though. 2 steeds and an ambush will more often than not get you there lol

I can't say I agree with this. With Small World and Wynn the deck is already pretty consistent. Pair that with the ability to play all the banishing techs and other floodgates (like skill drain) and you have a great rogue deck. If anything, I would probably like to see a ritual beast counter trap (like salamangreats) or something that will increase the power ceiling of the deck and not its consistency

@@dhs4726 even with Small World and Wynn Channeler the deck the deck has insane consistency issues. I’m actually playing RB at my locals rn and any hand that can’t find Elder + Cannahawk/Rampengu can’t even put monsters on board (which happens more often than you think due to both SW and Channeler eating a monster to even use). Prosperity helps a ton but I can’t afford it lol, it has a good chance of finding one of the three goobers without eating a monster in hand.

Fun Fact 1: the 1st 3 fusions atk+def adds up to 3k Fun Fact 2: the 3 archetypes shown in secret forces had 2 cards released in a set before it with Ram and Ambush coming out 1st for ritual beast…so basically it was a set of bricks until secret forces
