I love how you discuss how the deck feels like and works in the long-term. Looking at many reviews and walkthroughs, I felt this was a right time to get the marked edition now from how I'm working a lot about my internal development as well as spirituality. Warm earth would fit my collection a lot... well, the discount was also a motivator. Great vid :)

This deck has not left my hands for 6+ months. Never have I had such a vibe with a deck. You are right, Thoth can be too critical, think its because for me the overall deck has such a heady feel, not intellectual per se, but too much in the head not enough in the heart. Thank you for sharing your thoughts after spending time with it, always interesting to hear.

This was a great review, just what I was looking for. Your observations both confirmed and awakened my own. I've been away from the online tarot world for most of the past year, but when I returned this month (May 2023), this deck came on my radar through another channel's glowing review. At first I thought it wasn't for me, but then it started to grow on me, partly because I love the idea of a tarot without titles or numbers (without having to trim it myself), and also because I've been wanting a deck that might fit my wish for a "world soul" deck. I decided I had to try it out, despite the current backlash to its price in the tarot sphere (where people forget to mention the price includes tracked shipping, and I also got a nice pouch I wasn't expecting). Because of that awkward start, I was surprised to feel nothing but warmth and gratitude and curiosity towards it since it arrived. I believe I will enjoy reading with it, even if I am as slow to the party as a hippopotamus.😉✨☀️😎💐

Had to pause part way through to get my breakfast (guess I was just a hungry hippo...) I loved this. And I couldn't agree more with the assessment that it's art and poetry and warm earth and myth. The warmth is interesting too because its such a blue deck! I ALSO get intense nostalgia... I tend to write a lot of poetry about past experiences in the mountains (and a kind of hermit in the mountains motif as well) and this deck often talks to me about that... 😊🕯💙

Behemoth is an animal of the modern natural world, most often the hippopotamus (e.g. in Russian where the word "begemot" refers more often to hippopotamus rather than the Biblical animal), although the elephant and water buffalo could also be candidates. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Behemoth

I really enjoyed your review of this deck, especially after working with it for awhile. This deck for me gives a sense of the vastness of our earth and the variety of all life that exists on this planet of ours. It even has a hippo in it lol. I like how you think of the courts as princess, knight, queen, king. The energy of the princess seems more fitting then page energy for this deck. Do you use 3 card spreads most often? This is one of my favorite decks, I love collage art, how you discribed it as visual poetry makes perfect sense. Have a great day.

I'll watch the walkthrough of the Ritual Tarot video on your channel. I really enjoyed the portrayal of worldwide statues depicted in this deck as I've been immersed in the lore of the Gramadevis lately. Every priestess would want sacred river cows in her waterfront to keep the water clear and good. There could possibly be a blissful hippopotamus-headed guardian in the garden wall niche to greet visitors; just to emphasise the point.

I must admit I squealed when I saw the hippo. My good luck charm (that has been within reach 80% of my life since 1997) is a pale purple beanie baby hippo named Happy. He even shows up in some of my videos!

Finally getting a copy of this deck directly from Tiera! I managed to get a little defective (well, in my opinion the damage is not little lol but oh well) one with its corresponding discount but I don't care... A great discount is a discount 😂. Here to love damaged and second-hand decks from now on 🤣! (I actually can't believe my recent deck purchases were all second-hand and used). I will totally give my love to a marginalized deck that includes a hippopotamus (Ha, I have predictive keyboard so I didn't even bother to write it fully 😆). Thanks for your review! Since I've been always seeing this deck as I was always looking at it, I can say that I have the same feelings as you towards the deck (yes, without even owning it yet 😆). I love how I can treat this deck as an “enigma”.

I recently ordered this deck and I’m looking forward to diving in. Describing collage as visual poetry made my heart sing because it’s so true! Yet, somehow I never thought of it that way before, even though collage and poetry are my primary forms of artistic expression. #hippopotamus 😉

I have never been attracted to collage art it was too visually noisy, until last weekends full moon - my moon return - I went to the Black Fantastic exhibition in London (afro futuristic fantastic). Then something clicked. I have since bought the Shrine of the Black Medusa. Holy crap. A new level in tarot and art appreciation and reading unlocked. Haha! I am happy that not all collage decks call to me.. phew. As the Black Medusa has pop culture images that resonate with me (Grace Jones anyone?). But I am here for the art of the deck you showed. I'm Hank Marvin, much like a hippo. 🍲

It’s in my top 5, it reads easily, beautifully, the cards give so much and it’s never boring. I appreciate the Lust card in the deck. Still overall a beautiful experience. Life is more busy now than it was a year ago, but this deck still makes me slow down to do a reading

I think they added That HIPPO to confuse me. Like they need to make it even more irrelevant, and difficult . I don't see why it's has to be there . I'm new and all those cards look so confusing . I would NOT be able to use those ones, But thanks for sharing them. Now I know to stay away from those ones.

Hi Akira, well maybe think about it: hippos are strong water animals and there’s a lot underneath the surface in the High Priestess card. I’m sure there’s more there, perhaps a mythological reference there. Not every deck is for everyone, thankfully! I love these but they certainly aren’t a “beginner deck”

I'm just using the RWS because I'm still learning the majors . I got the large print book, and have to take a picture of the page AND the cards then match them up , then I have to make them larger so I can see it to get to the meaning. Its a lot of extra work, but once I know what they mean I'll allready know how to tell the cards apart and it will get easyer from there . I can't wait for that one. 😀

It's easier for me to listen then to have to read something, and I love the sound of your voice . I could listen to you talk all day. I’m so on the fence with this deck. On one hand, I’ve only seen a hippopotamus 🦛 amount of good reviews, but on the other…I don’t normally like collage style decks. Great review btw 😊

After seeing the Hippo in the Priestess card I want this deck even more now. 🦛❤️😂 I wish it wasn’t so expensive though, especially for someone not living in the US. Oh well, still waiting for the titled version so I guess I still have some time to save some money. It’s definitely a very special deck.
