I don't like the premise of this show: gather civilian specialists to look at decades old cases, involve the family, then 'bring' the evidence to the police. What if the police don't take it on? What if the process is harmful to the family? how do they expect to find new information or evidence? like, they seriously thought they'd find her medical alert bracelet...Also, these folks were too clinical.

I really don’t understand why police make the assumption that this young lady ran away because she was a freshman in college and was afraid 😮. This doesn’t make any sense at all!!! Not that it would have made a difference in the outcome, but come on! And why has it gone on as a cold case for 45 years???

Agree - It's like they don't take the families seriously - Like I understand that some people DO just run away - but if it's out of character of the victim, then they should investigate immediately. Who's to say if they had of, what they could have found or stopped. Her poor family - never knowing till 5 years later. Breaks your heart and having it cold for 45 years! Terrible :(

Because it happened in the UK as far as I'm aware, hopeless police here. No justice & police who arrest & murder woman while his colleague s had nick named him rapist for years, the red flags were flying & they didn't care, that's the UK for you.

That cop needs to re-read his job description. Cops that think their job is to exact justice are dangerous. Justice is dispensed by the judicial branch of government. The police are part of the Executive branch. These must be kept separate. Edit: ok, this is in Canada. They do things a little different up there if you know what I mean....

The executive branch of the government is the President and governors. Cops are indeed part of the judicial branch but they’re under the jurisdiction of the state. Without them the judicial branch wouldn’t be able to function. They’re the cogs in the judicial branch

Ehm his job isn't to "make bad things happen to bad people" as he puts it, nor is it even remotely close. That's someone who shouldn't be a police officer at all, first and foremost the job entails "to protect and to serve" his community. The bit he focuses on to the detriment of all else is a subset of "to protect" which is done by providing deterrence to would be criminals, and if needed, backing that deterrence up with justice which can take the form of punishment, but doesn't have to.

I believe she was alive until the place where they found the clothes. The assault and rape and murder there, drove further to semi-bury the body to make it hard to find. The taking of the arm was to confuse things. 45 years later I suppose he is probably in prison for something else or dead.

Yes I wondered so much about that!! If you want to locate someone , then even you or i would think to do what you just said. And i would investigate the previous tenants over a period of weeks if nit months - if i was serious . I found that suspicious. Also - their brief poke around the place where Lunda’s body was left, astonished me. Id be there and in the surrounding 50 metres for a week. And I found the girl who spoke to the young lady expert on decomposition led her a bit. She told her of certain supposed conclusions they had made-which were only hasty, unverified suppositions. Not proved ,as yet by any second or third opinions. Something’s fishy. Fascinating case. But still…..

I strongly believe she was an early victim of Ted Bundy but because she wasn't brunette like the majority of his victims they've never linked her to him as he liked to travel across the state, take trophies of the material and bodily kind, she was a student with a good kind heart like his victims, dumped his victims clothes miles away from the body along the highways they're dumped and she was dumped in a wooded area it all fits his MO plus he was still active between 1960 to the late 1970. It's worth a bit of thought

Im watching this in 2024 .... cue ball keeps saying the case is 45 years old .....so this vid was made back in 2014 .... 10 years ago ....They STILL have NOT found Linda's killer ...so Cue ball and his team have failed to solve this cold case ... Unlike Kelly Zeigler’s show of the same thing. She goes back to the towns where these murders happened and Re-interviews people, with a team. They HAVE solved some. Therefore you might find that series of investigations better. Sorry I can’t recall offhand what get show was called but if you google Kelly Ziegler cold case series -or something, - you’ll get them. (I don’t want to leave this tab to go find the series’s name because I have lost my typing before that way .-not really an internet whizz). Cheers

Anyone that has been involved or knows how the Ontario, Canada jusstice system works knows that you are guilty until proven innocent. Our government and justice systems are extremely broken, theres the extremely poor like me, that when the cops see me they see a possible criminal, then theres the middle class going to the rich, i do not know how they live as ive never lived with money, but im guessing they do not get treated like criminals because they have money. Maybe if our PM starts helping the poor there wouldnt be as much drugs, homeless, crime as there is where i live. Just sayin. Peace and much love sent from Ontario, Canada.

From a production perspective, this was the worst episode I saw. Most of the team does nothing for the first half, the two most boring guys are in the focus; then every second line is over-dubbed in post-production very obviously; the viewer gets 0 information because of all those bleeps and blurs; and some of the investigation is pointless too (let's search for animal activity on the site->I think it's not animal activity->now let's ask this expert if it was animal activity or not? + Monty going around asking people if they've lived there in 1968).
