Very helpful video. If you had to pick between riu and grand palladium to stay based on food and facilities, which would you recommend? We're also considering catalonia (all three in the Costa mujeres area), any insight on that hotel? Thank you very much.

Thank you! 🙂 Riu Palace had a better buffet, but facilities and grounds wise we thought Grand Palladium Costa Mujeres were bigger & better. The dinner restaurants quite good at both, so a tie there. If you're staying at Family Selection like we did for GP Costa Mujeres, you can also eat at the more upscale TRS Coral resort restaurants next door. TRS Coral buffet was a bit better than Riu Palace. Not sure about Catalonia though since we didn't go to that one.

I love your channel. How does your tiny wife eat all that food? I like her comments about the food. I really like when you do the cruises. My niece works for a Cruise line.. I really like how on the Cruises you focus on the food and not on being seen and showing yourself off. Other cruise channels should note how you do it. Thanks 😊

From when we were there, it was open for dinner from 6:30 PM, but once a week it's open at 5:30 PM. Have a great time!

All the food & drinks are included, but if you want to do extra services such as spa treatments, massages or tours, those would be extra.

Hello, I am wondering if they still have lobster night in the international buffet?

We didn't see any lobster. There was supposed to be lobster on the menu but they crossed it out.

You have to go in lobster season to get lobster. They stop fishing it for part of the year to allow growing. If your served lobster outwith that season, it's not fresh lobster

It wasn't 5 stars but it was pretty nice overall. As far as advice- I'd say make note of the schedule of the restaurants and plan accordingly because some were closed once a week. Also it's a good idea to show up at the restaurant a few minutes before opening to avoid a big crowd. Have a great time! 🙂

Unfortunately not, though if you stay at Riu Palace you can eat at Dunamar's restaurants, but yeah not the other way around.
