In case you haven't seen this already to always win every match in this game simply hold down when you are on the ground if you get hit, do and attack or do anything at all and you will not only recover instantly but you will take basically no knock back, This will ruin every game you play if you use this tech. Hope this helps :)

"16-bit" does not mean what you think it means. Rivals 1 has pixel art but completely uninhibited by the limitations that define 8-bit, 16-bit, and even 32-bit consoles and it's not particularly trying to recreate any of those styles.

Might just be me, but there's something about the animation style that's reminiscent of multiversus that makes it hard for me to process what's happening on my screen, unlike SSB. Not sure what it is. Edit: I want to note that part of my issue may be a matter of familiarity vs lack thereof, but there's definitely a factor of the visuals in this game processing weirdly in my brain.

I think I only have this issue in a 2v2 format for any platform fighter. 1v1's usually aren't as chaotic but I guess it depends from person to person.

I find this much more readable than smash ultimate tbh. That game has too many bells and whistles in its animation and I get lost in it I find rivals extremely clear. 4 players definitely gets hectic though

@@Bupboy I think it's the fact they added stuff, that, by proxy, removed unique elements. for example, adding shielding removes some of the fast pacedness and risk taking of going for parries. Adding ledge grabbing removes the entire unique ledge scenarios that Rivals 1 has, making it more like Smashbros and thereby, less unique. By adding stuff, they changed the general gameplay to be less special to their game. You put Mario into Rivals 2 and he plays the exact same way. You put Mario in Rivals 1 and he plays a good amount differently, and you might need to change his kit to adapt to Rivals 1. That's what I'm talking about. You can put a character from Smash into Rivals 2 with no changes. (obviously if you were balancing them properly they would need changes, but otherwise there's no mechanical difference)

I tried to help one of my dogs watch this video on my desktop but they were only interested in three things: Me (they gave me sweet kisses), my laptop (I was waiting on Bloons TD Battles 2 to load it takes like 7 minutes off steam but I think it's variable I just don't know how to fix it), and my Thwomp Pumpkin (At an angle ABOVE the desktop from their visual angle).
