There's also a few collections used for tournaments in the Rivals of Aether Extended Workshop discord, so going there to find characters to pick up is also a rather viable option. cool original OC charas: N/A - if you watched the rivals direct... you know. Also download their stage Nihil Descent if you like weird gimmicks. They're really well animated too, I don't wanna spoil much Trum & Alto - Easily my favorite OC character. Super slick and schmoovy. You have no idea. You might wanna read the description on him or check the trailer video they have on the workshop but overall they're still fun to play without knowing anything about them going in Zerra - Their gimmick is, simply, ice skating. You lay down ice as you move, similar to Sylvanos. The ice will eventually disappear if you don't walk on it for a while. Skating on ice is faster than skating without. You can probably figure out the rest. Also, Goose got a rework that released today. You can check on the old Goose's workshop page. It's a full sprite rework and has some revamped moves, so it's a different character. Honorable mentions if you really need some new characters: Lumina Yoyo Iroh Fry Chimera

Oooh character suggestions, let’s see... Katie by Sai: basically imagine guns, meter and over the top badassary. It’s awesome. Scizor by George Seinfeld: has the most disgusting divekick in any game ever. It’s legit the most Swiss Army knife move I’ve seen. Also jump cancellable. Nolan by Sai: like Ronald, but balanced, and with meter. Pretty sick character. Amber by BountyXSnipe: a good Amber will combo you for your entire stock, but I suck with her. Nakoruru by Altali: she can call assists with her bird, which is so good. Bowser by srPerez: has sick stage control with his axe, which can be thrown around and magnetized towards Bowser. Joy cons by srPerez. I don’t know why, but they’re pretty cool. “Crewmate” by CircleGuy: surprised you didn’t cover this one. Basically entire moveset is Among Us references. Triple Deluxe Kirby by Modeling-Clay: fair, bair, dair, and side b all give different movement effects, it’s awesome. Probably my main. That’s all I can think of right now...

I just wanted to comment that your Rival mod videos actually inspired me to go ahead to buy and download the game itself. It's a pretty impressive game, not going to lie, and I love all the modding support.

As far as workshop offerings, I'll list a few: Sai's characters (Zetta Ashikaga, Alex Ashikaga, Nolan, Katie Helga Vladimir, Elice Vuris, and Fuki Fujisaki, amoungst others) those last two being my personal favourites, however, be warned the characters are flashy, but.. somewhat unbalanced, though based on formal entries in this series, that's not too big a deal. N/A is a recent character with some really neat gimmicks, though a little campy admittedly. They mesh well enough with the base roster in aesthetics, and have some awesome sound design. Amber, the non-lethal ninja is cute, fairly new and a very light combo heavy character, somewhere between pichu and bayonetta, with a lot of their own gimmicks, empowered specials and the ability to SD super easily. Very technical. Most of the curated roster for Hime's Jungle Jam is good, my favourites amoungst the most recent sets being Hikaru, R00 - Logical Jetstream, Astra, Pomme, and Yoyo. Going through those, Hikaru has a fun gimmick around baiting people with clones/super armor on a special (and parries) in order to empower her specials/strong attacks, and a lot of neat little interactions with other characters, very much an OC and one of the older characters on the workshop. R00 is probably my workshop "main" they're a robotic kangaroo who has a little hitbox that they can throw out that's their entire gimmick, very much a "build-a-bear combo" character. Astra is a trap based character with different specials based on which of three "cards" are selected. Pomme has been on this series before, a floaty mouse popstar, super cool and fun. Yoyo is another combo heavy character with long hitboxes and a combo meter, less of an "oc" than the others on the list as it's inspired by stick figure fights here on youtube.
